RE: Wisconsin repeals fee for train pulls
Here's what I pull behind my Cardinal. Because I don't have a rear bumper on the Cardinal I had to extend and reinforce the frame to install a reciever hitch.
I probably only pull 1000 to 1500 pounds.

One of the couples in our group has a 32' Fifth-wheel, but have decided not to go since the cabins are all booked. They say camping is "just too much trouble".
Lizzie: The above has excuse written all over it!!!!!!
Please let us know when the REALreason for not going comes out,if and when it does.

How do reach the top of your rig with that latter?
I don't. I have one on the back of the 5er if I have to get on top.
I use the step ladder for doing windows and cleaning off the top of the slide outs.

I would recomend Holiday Shores just north out of town. located on the wisconsin river. we will probably be staying there this year. we used to stay at the Jellystone. the kids are getting bigger now and we look for different places now.
I'll second this choice. Very clean well run family campground.

Years ago I moved my spare in the opposite direction that you guys are looking to do. After seeing pictures of damage,from a spare falling off,to the undercarriage of a 5er carrying a spare under the front I moved mine inside the front storage compartment.

Positives
(1) Spare stays clean and dry
(2) Locked in compartment
(3) Easy to keep track of pressure
(4) No need to drag out from under trailer.
Negative
(1) Takes up a little storage space
As pic shows I still have storage above and below spare.

Tow behind a 5th wheel not a B.
Put the bikes back on top and haul a bunch of other stuff inside.
Learned first time out not to haul coolers with liquids especially BEER-SODA. Found exploded:E cans and bottles.:M
If I didn't see it in the rear view camera wouldn't know it was there.
With the dual wheel leg I can pretty much push it around most campsites myself.

Level left to right first. Backing onto 2X8 blocks
Unhook second.
Level front to rear third.

A florescent light defuser cut to fit and some aluminum angle and flat stock has kept my screen in place even with 14 grandchildren.
