alanp41779 is right on.One thing you could consider is getting on RT55 in New Meadows and going up to McCall, a very pretty mountain town.However,55 gets curvy afther Cascade.

I would favor mfox20 first route.In MISS. 49 to 59 to 98 is very slow going.Lots of local traffic in spots.

Yes,lots of rain,about 11 inch a month in winter.Nice park about 1 mile from ocean,right on the Checto river.Should protect you from strong winter storms.Most sites have concrete pads and pretty good space on each side.Park is clean and well maintained.In winter you should get your pick of almost any site.

South end still has work going on around Blue Diamond rd.Does not seem to be a problen in non rush hour.Most of north side is finished.If going thru town take express lanes begining at 215 interchange.Enjoy
