Brookings in summer is wonderful,however they get 71 inchs of rain a year almost all of it between Nov 1 and April 30th.

Great mountain town is McCall ID.Pondarosa State park is very good.Town at 5,000feet with lakes and rivers and lots of back country roads.ENJOY

alanp41779 is right on.One thing you could consider is getting on RT55 in New Meadows and going up to McCall, a very pretty mountain town.However,55 gets curvy afther Cascade.

Yes,lots of rain,about 11 inch a month in winter.Nice park about 1 mile from ocean,right on the Checto river.Should protect you from strong winter storms.Most sites have concrete pads and pretty good space on each side.Park is clean and well maintained.In winter you should get your pick of almost any site.
