RE: Tounge Jack Install Question

My Barker instructions said to run the hot wire directly to the battery. Ground is created by "star" washer under one of the bolts that hold the jack to the frame. My instructions read the same way

RE: Camping Memorial day weekend

Staying home.... The State Park we wanted to go to, where some friends are going, is entirely booked!! Been checking sites there for the last 3 weeks and nothing opened up. And with nice weather being predicted for the week and upcoming weekend I doubt anything will... Yeah, the weather in WI is gong to be perfect this weekend

RE: Camping Memorial day weekend

Leaving Thursday morning for Tyler State Park, Tyler, TX for a long weekend. To the person that said that there are too many inexperienced campers out on holiday weekends I beg to differ. What calls you experienced? We've been camping for years and we still hit a bump in the road every now and there. I think we are all entitled to an "oopsey" moment every now and then and you only get better at it by doing it. So I really don't care who camps with me as long as they have a great experience and don't keep me up at night. Have fun!! everyone!! we have been camping at our SPs on holiday weekends for 7 years...that was enough. When we don't go on a holiday weekend...Much different people. A bump in the road is different from what i'm talking about. Over packed CGs and people that only go out camping on the 3 holidays is what i'm talking about.

RE: Camping Memorial day weekend

Camping on our 6 acres...we don't go out on armature weekends This reads like you may be a little pompous. Are you insinuating the rest of us are amatures because we are going this weekend? We go when we can and where we can. If you have nowhere to go but your "own six acres" then why even respond in the thread? There are too many people that go camping just on the major holidays to go out and get drunk off their butt. If you want to call me pompous that's fine....

RE: Diiging out a new parking spot for the new Outback

Not sure why anyone digs out an area for a pad and then adds crushed rock. I just killed the grass and weeds and then laid RR ties as a form. Add dense grade to within 1 in. of the top of ties, and then your trailer is high and dry. Just taper the entrance/exit and you are done. I am lucky that my parking area out back is a pull through. I'm sure you don't mind your RV being 8 inches inches off the ground, but some of us probably don't....also many people find rr ties to less than attractive....also it's one more thing to trim around..If I were to do this, I would do it like the OP...clean and neat look

RE: Laundry Day!

Starknaked, They were drying their boots on my time left. I had gone next door to buy something to drink. It wasn't the young folks who folded them, but a woman who saw them lying on the table, after they threw them there. Thank goodness for her. But I wouldn't expect young folks(in their early 20's) to be considerate as someone older. After all their boots didn't get very clean holding them under water which was dripping off the gutter. Basically they were just getting their boots dryed. I didn't hang around to see them come back. I would have thrown the boots back out in the mud, but that's me:W

RE: Ways to make the jack-knife sofa/bed more comfortable?

Throw it out and buy a good Futon. My stupid sofa wasn't even good for sitting on let alone sleeping on. It's in some landfill and maybe a new fender on your car. lol, I looked at futons yesterday for the same problem....They are really comfy
