I don't remember for sure. But I think it was a couple of months after a joined. For a while, I was the mod on the TC Forum on RV.net and iRV2.com at the same time.

RE: LEAF PACK UPGRADE OR SUMMO SPRINGS

........... First, unloaded the ride is terrible. It feels like you are riding on the bump stops because you basically are. Second, one winter one of them split up the side. They replaced it. Following winter it happened again. They then wouldn't replace it but instead offered to sell me their "Winter" ones at a discount. Fine, bought those. Then in the summer the "winter" ones were too soft.........
Not a ringing endorsement. :) :)
I had never heard of them before this post.

RE: Time Lapse of TC Removal From Truck

Cool video; thanks for posting.
May have been the camera angle, but it looked like you might have let the front of the camper get lower than the rear when you lowered it down onto the supports.

RE: The best compressor to buy to air the tires to 100PSI ?

Probably not, but the equipment for inflating tires hopefuly has.
Thanks.
Bill in FL
Not really. Those MV-50s are still around, are very popular and probably give the best bang for the buck. Hey, is just an air compressor.

RE: LEAF PACK UPGRADE OR SUMMO SPRINGS

I hated....HATED the sumo junk that was on my Ram. I have regular air bags on my Ford and love them.
What did you not like about them? They look similar to Timbrens.

That list came from this 2007 thread.

RE: Purchasing problems...Now RESOLVED!!!

I had a buddy who "bought" a new Toyota 4-Runner sevral years ago at a Toyota dealer. He have them a check for $500 and signed a sales agreement (but didn't get a copy). He was to return the next day and pick up his vehicle.
The next day he returned to the dealer. The salesman told him there must have been some mistake; they never had a deal and the 4-Runner was being purchased by someone else. The dealer said they had no knowledge of his check or sales agreement.
He walked out of the dealer and put a stop payment on the check, but the check never showed up at the bank. Apperently, someone came in after he made his deal and offered them more money for the 4-Runner and the dealer just tore up the check and contract.

RE: 10 years on the Truck Camper Forum

Commerative RV.Net decals for decaders?
I actually suggested that a year or so ago and got shot down by the Big Cheese. Then I asked that something be added to your member name (like a red star or "Life Member" or something) on each post after ten years; got shot down on that also.
Doesn't pay to do any thinkin' and suggestin' around here. :)

There is some info on putting truck campers on flatbed trucks and gooseneck trailers on the following thread:

RE: Purchasing problems...Now RESOLVED!!!

Brad
This is the statement I was going by.... presumably per Lance.
"He told me that the deadline for 2012 model orders was April 16th, and they received the order from the dealer on April 22. My printed quote from the dealer was dated April 16th."
The OP said the quote was dated 16 April. He never said he signed the sales contract with the dealer on 16 April. Receiving a quote and signing a sales agreement are two different things.

RE: Purchasing problems...Now RESOLVED!!!

They (dealer) took the order. They (Dealer didn't transmit it to Lance on the 16th.
The dealer took the order 3 weeks before 5/12/12. That is 21 April, which was 5 days AFTER the the 16 April cutoff date. He couldn't transmit what he didn't have. Read the OP first post.
The dealer either didn't know what the cutoff date was when he took the order, didn't realize the costs were going up on the 2013 models or was paying games with the OP.
Get your deposit back and walk away. There is no doubt that the dealer is playing games with you now.

RE: Purchasing problems...Now RESOLVED!!!

......they made the decision to wait to order the unit, so they need to make it right.
You need to reread the thread. The factory cutoff date was April 16; the OP ordered AFTER that date. So it has nothing to do with the dealer sitting on the order.
Get your deposit back and move on; they have wasted enough of your time already. You can't negotiate when they have YOUR money in THEIR pocket. They will talk forever and do nothing. Like I said, they could solve this in one phone call if they wanted to. They are hanging you out to dry.
With this kind of pre-sale customer service, what kind of post-sale customer service do you think you are going to get if/when you have a problem?
