RE: Seasonal Site..Leave the fridge on or turn it off each time?
We turn off the firdge and all power to the unit. Open fridge and freezer door.
Pack all remaining contents of fridge and freezer into a cooler and take back with us.
Unhook batteries.
Turn off the water.
Pull in slide.
Drain grey and black tanks.

Put it on e-bay, start it at $1, run the auction for 10 days, no reserve and sell it to the highest non-dead-beat-scammer-bidder i.e. bidder must have a good e-bay history, contact via e-mail or phone, or cancel their bid.
I sold our 1985 Southwind Class A, for $4,000 on e-bay. Took a beating but the dealer would not trade at all. It is gone and I have a new TT.

Just run it for 3 hours in the middle of the day, you don't need to run it 24 X 7.
Switch it off at night - nothing worse than an inconsiderate camper running a generator all night long.

I sold my 85 Southwind on e-Bay and bought a nice new TT.
The dealer would not take it as a trade in.
It also had water leaks and I had spent a ton of $ on it, including a new 454 engine. It was a real money pit and sucked down a lot of gas.
Fianlly I got $4,000 for it on a no-reserve auction on e-bayy, and am happy with the new TT and modern decor and appliances, with a slide-out and walk around double bed.
I'm sure your late father would understand you wanting to move up, so sell it and get a new camper, if that is what you want to do.

Cable companies do the same thing. They suck you in, then after a year jack up their rates.
Switch every year to a new provider to cash in on the savings that the new clients receive. You could switch from DirecTV to DishTV as an example, if you want satellits TV, or, switch back to cable.

If you want to get a boat, how are you going to tow the boat and the TT ?
Two tow vehilces ?
Storage shed at the lake for boat/TT ?
Sell the TT and get an a Class A to tow boat and camp in ?
Decisions indeed.
We have a boat and TT, keep the boat in a storgage facility at the lake.

If you hook the radio up to the TV's antenna...then you can tune in and listen to the TV stations on the radio, but will get no picture, unless you get a digital radio with a display.
Sorry - just get a new antenna for the radio.

RE: Pulling a boat, launching a boat, hmmm.......
We used to launch an 18ft Bayliner from our 30 ft Class A Southwind.
The RV had a drivers side door, that I would open to look back/outside and keep the trailer in view. Just practice backing up a bit with a spotter, no need for a front hitch.
The biggest pain was the logistics of finding a campsite, and then getting the boat from the lauch to the campsite.
Once my spotter (wife) was guiding me while I backed up my driveway with the boat behind the RV and the boats propeller went through the garage door....

If the person in possession of the abandoned vehicle is applying for title, the following must be submitted to DMV:
1.Application for Certificate of Title (VSA 17A), or Application for Certificate of Title-Manufactured Home (VSA 17B)
2.Vehicle Removal Certificate (VSA 40),
3.Abandoned Vehicle Record Request Receipt (from online record request search)
•If the record request receipt indicates that the vehicle is not titled in Virginia, signed certified mail receipt(s) proving delivery of the letter notifying owners/lienholders of the intent to dispose of the abandoned vehicle. If the certified mail is returned as "undeliverable", attach the UNOPENED certified mail to the record request receipt.
4.Appropriate fees and vehicle registration requirements (i.e. insurance) if the vehicle is to be registered.

That is why I now have a TT and new truck to pull the TT. Way too many problems with an old MH, even though we spent a ton of cash updating everything, including a new 454 engine. It was still 30 years old.
New is nice and that 454 sure is thirsty, very thirsty, to such an extent that we stopped going anywhere far in it.
Good luck with it though.

We went from a Class A to a TT and diesel 4X4 truck.
This works best for us, especially since I need the 4X4 of the truck when we go hunting/camping. Can't to that with a Class A.
With a Class A you still are going to have to hitch-up your TOAD, or, go without transportation once you are camping.

We used to hhave a 1985 Class A - Southwind with a 454. It had an external electrical fuel pump in-line, just under the fuel tank. We could hear it humming when the ignition swiith was turned on. I replaced that fuel pump once when the old one really started making an even louder humming noise, and, didnt want to have a break-down in the middle of nowhere.
Do you hear a humming from the pump? If not, I bet your fuel pump is shot, also look for a loose wire going to it. It;s not expensive (Under $100) to buy a replacement, if I recall correctly from your NAPA store.

1. Leave your camper at a seasonal site so you don't have to haul it back and forth. Then you can drive the fuel-mizer and leave the truck at home. Cost of seasonal site may be a factor though.
2. Leave your camper at a storage facility close to your favorite destinations, so you don't have to haul it back and forth.
3. Don't go camping at all.

The National Park Rangers are advising hikers in Glacier National Park and other Rocky Mountain parks to be alert for bears and take extra precautions to avoid an encounter.
They advise park visitors to wear little bells on their clothes so they make noise when hiking.
The bell noise allows bears to hear them coming from a distance and not be startled by a hiker accidentally sneaking up on them. This might cause a bear to charge.
Visitors should also carry a pepper spray can just in case a bear is encountered. Spraying the pepper into the air will irritate the bear's sensitive nose and it will run away.
It is also a good idea to keep an eye out for fresh bear scat so you have an idea if bears are in the area. People should be able to recognize the difference between black bear and grizzly bear scat.
Black bear droppings are smaller and often contain berries, leaves, and possibly bits of fur.
Grizzly bear droppings tend to contain small bells and smell of pepper.

First - You will have to pull up the floor covering to see what is going on under there.
Then - decide is you have the skills to cut out the bad spots and replace with new, or take it to a RV place and have them do that.
Also- find out where the water leak is coming from and seal it up.
