RE: Anyone have a tandem bike?

Look on Craigs list and e-bay. You can find a very nice bike someone is tired of a lot cheaper than new and have a quality bike.

RE: I love CW, but...

My buddy was charged for 1 hr. labor to check the air pressure in his tires while on the road in Tenn. $100.00 bucks. I used to have the service center in Chattanooga Tenn. do all my service work on my Pace Arrow. I stopped when they charged me more for a converter than my service contract would pay and I had to shell out the difference. Thing that made me mad was I could buy the same converter in the store for almost $100.00 less than their service center charged me for it. Both came from the same store. NEVER again. PA is gone and so is CW for me.

RE: Question about a PullRite SuperGlide 15K

The 15K fits the standard rails and will install no different than a short bed. Length when slid all the way back would change by 2 ft at the most so I see no problem with it.

RE: Think I found one

The tires would really be my main concern. I would not be at all concerned about the appliances if they work good now and they are no where near the end of their life as some one else here posted.

RE: Downsides to Superglide

I would contact Pullrite, tell them your weight concerns and see what they say. I have the 15K and its great. Just a lite oil coating on the rails now. Not graphite.

RE: 2 stroke oil in diesel

Technically speaking diesels are two stroke engines Um, no. Its still suck, squeeze, bang, blow - same as a gasser. The difference is gasser sucks gas & air then bangs with a spark & diesel sucks air, injects fuel at the squeeze and bangs from the heat generated by high compression. 2 stroke diesels exist but are usually in big things like trains, ships and generators. Early model 318 and 671 detroits were 2 cycle and used in otr trucks. I worked on a bunch of them back then.

RE: Deployment = Lonely TT

I don't live too far from you here in Calhoun. If you and the kids would like to take it out to one of the local CG's my wife and I would be glad to help you with that or if you wanted help getting it ready for his leave we would be glad to help with that also. Always glad to help a service man and family. If you decide to take us up on this just pm me anytime.

RE: Well I did it. $2,000 hit cab of truck forgot to use slider

I hear your pain. After many years and many close calls, I made the $800 mistake that required a new rear window. Did not fix the small dimple on the right from the close call or the larger dimple on the left that broke the window, but ordered the "Superglide 15K - Fits Industry Standard Mounting Rails" from Tweetys when we got home. Liked the fact that it fit the existing rails. GREAT peace of mind! I think it even is easier to back up with this hitch. Good Luck with what ever you get. X2 Great hitch! Got mine from Tweetys $812.00 to the door. I think they have gone up about $8 bucks. You would have been $1200.00 ahead at this point.

RE: Is the PS 6.0l really that bad???

Everyone here knows a 6.0 can't even make it out of the driveway!!! By the way , how many did you see on the road today? I see a lot every day. The 6.0 trolls on here make the problem seem much worse than it is and you never hear from the guys that have no problems or the thousands not on this site.

RE: Bullying

I think I would still have the trailer when he came back. We would need to talk! Also my wife would not have put up with it.

RE: Trip to Pigeon Forge Tennessee

One place NOT to stay is the PF WalMart. Local cops enforcing a city ordinance rousted several of us out at 2 am. Only stopped there because of terrible rain storm. Drove several blocks down the street, pulled into Cracker Barrel & spent the rest of the night there. How about that for selective enforcement? Was orignially on my way to Great Smokey NP. Got there next day and enjoyed it very much. A bit out of town but away from the hustle & bustle. I wouldn't stay there either, besides all those NO OVER NIGHT parking signs just clutter up the lot! lol

RE: Older 5th Wheel Opions Needed

I'm with your wife, more room with a family the better. I have no idea why you assume they have been lived in but it really would not matter to me. As long as it looks good and has been well taken care of. If it had been lived in at least you would know every thing was used often and cared for.

RE: $100 for a estimate for body damage

While we rig was having some work done we asked for an estimate to replace carpets and to lay down flooring. We were charged $100! Their hourly price. Yes it would have been deducted if we had the work done but we were no mad that we walked away with a very bad taste in our mouths. We were not even told, nor was it posted that they charged for estimates. THAT, I agree, is just WRONG! It would only take seconds to say "We'll be glad to give you an estimate for that job, but we will have to charge XXX dollars for it, which we will credit to the invoice if you let us do the work." I agree! You are in my shop having work done now. I will spend as much time as you need to give you estimates on anything at this point. I already know you are a serious customer.
