This is also to chargthe batries when off the grid.
The fans draw less than 1 amp.

I have installed 3 surplus computer fans in the top of the exhaust stack for the reefer. These are run off solar with a switch to turn them off when not needed.
It does make a difference.

I'm with PackerBacker and set the cruise control to about 62.
It may take me a little longer to get there but I am not in that much of a rush and it saves fuel.

RE: companion hitch placement in reverse opinions needed
I have the B&W with the Companion and it is installed per the istructions with the side plates all the way forward.
This puts the king pin about and inch or so behind the axle and the trailer tows just fine.
Just an all around great hitch and in my opinion, foolproof.
