RE: 2013 NW Spring Rally..when and where to go?

That's also a pretty nice place and central beach Oregon is usually better weather. How-ever,I think that going to McMinnville is the way to go.

Uh Oh....Seafood and wine are a couple of my favorite foods..I did several kinds of shrimp there also. The first rally there,we had BBQ turkey and I think it was hot enuff outside, that I took the tops of the Webers and cooked it in the sun..I also remember that it was REALLY hot that second time we were there. I'm still in.....

RE: I'm Rich!

You will be coming to the PNW RV.Net Mini rally in August and bringing some of the extra, right? Oh well,we'd like to see you even if you don't as we're always open to seeing new friends.

It sounds as if the new owners are trying to get some business and I'd be willing to try and help them. Of course, there's always a good shot at an all day trip to the museum as we haven't been there for a couple of years. Heck, for a chance to re-check out a bunch of old airplanes,I'd almost give up some wine tasting time.. Count us in.

RE: Camper started 7,600 acre Colorado fire

With this fire, accidents do happen and an alcohol or butane stove that falls over can start a fire real fast and sometimes, you can't stamp on it fast enuff to get it out.

RE: I'm Rich!

You'd be a lot richer if you came to a local rv.net rally and met some of us. We are just finishing up the spring one in Prosser and the next one is up the road from you at P.T. in Aug.

RE: PNW RV.Net Mini Rally Aug. 10-12,2012

Since we're all attending the spring rally,I think that it's time to bring this back up. We need to have your registrations in before the end of june, sdo go to the first post to see what to do..I have it on good authority that the weather will be as good in August as it is in Prosser now.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 18-20, 2012

Hey,c'mon now... Yes loaded, vacumned and re-routing.The loaded also includes a bit of McMenimins ruby pale ale which is a raspberry hefewiezen ale. Will probably pick up some extra in Vancouver tomorrow.Heading out tomorrow for Vancouver for a nite at the 99 RV park and see the great-grandson,then up the gorge to Maryhill SP for two nites on the river and then gonna head up to Goldendale and take the back road to Prosser. Was thinking about doing 97,but done that a couple of times,or to Paterson and up 221 from Columbia Crest Winery, but I can get that stuff at home..The other option is the Mabton-Bickleton road out of Goldendale and I think I'll be doing that on Thursday.I figger if it used to be a main route and that farm trucks, they're kinda crazy tho,can drive it,then I can.

RE: Washington hwy 221

Fransesca,This is the third or fourth time We've stayed at Maryhill and have been to the Stonehenge several times and the museum twice. The first time was with my 90 y/o aunt and we spent almost two whole days there and spent way too much money at the Maryhill Winery. The second was with the DW and that was about 1/2 day and again spent too much money at the winery. We did also go to the Waving Tree winery and bought some awesome red wines at an obscenely low price and will be only going there to get some more Waving Tree. Y-guy,Have done the 97 thing a couple of times and we're planning on 84 from Portland to Biggs and across the river to Maryhill and then 14 to Paterson. I'd love to do the Bickleton road again as the last time I did that was in about the late 70's in my '70 Landcruiser Wagon.

Washington hwy 221

We're heading out on Monday for a trip to Prosser,wa for the NW RV.net rally next weekend and will be going via Portland.I want to go up the gorge and we'll be staying at Maryhill SP and from there I want to go to Paterson for some wine tasting.I was looking at 221 and it seems to be kind of straight and a fun drive.I have driven it before, but it was so long ago that I don't remember anything about it. Has anyone been on it lately and we'll be in a 40'MH with toad.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 18-20, 2012

I bought diesel at Coburg at that Pacific Pride station there and it only cost me $3.97 and that was about the 19th of April. Yes Laura,I yelled at you as I went by,but you made not have heard me as I was on the highway. Awesome day at No Point as the mountains were out along with the sun and very little wind. It was really nice to see all the young families showing up as we were going home about 11:30. Must have been a couple of hundred on the beach and more coming.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 18-20, 2012

Heading out this morning to take part in the re-dedication of the Point-no Point lighthouse up in Hansville. A couple of years ago,Kitsap county parks received a $100,000 grant from the National Preservation group to rehab the lighthouse. It's been modernized and all returned to what it was in the pre-forties and they really did a great job of it.All of the work was done by the National Lighthouse society and the docents of the lighthouse. It is still an actual working lighthouse, you can rent rooms there for the night and it is the home of the National Kighthouse Society. Getting really really ready for the rally.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 18-20, 2012

Finally got the MH back from the shop and started loading it for the trip to the rally.Gonna take the short way by way of Vancouver and Portland to see the GGS and my aged aunt,Roma, then head for Maryhill state park for a nite to pick up a local wine and then head for Patterson and Columbis Crest Winery and up 221 to Prosser. We're looking forward to the trip and seeing all of youse folks again. The weather is lookin' as if it's gonna be really comfortable over there, but right now they're having freeze warnings for the nite-times.

Another TPMS thread

I have been looking at buying a TPMS system for my Class A and what really gets me is that they only supply four tire units with them and I have 6 wheels... I'd love to get them and also for the toad, but when you start adding up the cost of them it gets a bit out of line. For example.Unit A is $300 with 4 sensors and then each additional set of TWO is $60. So now by the time you buy a whole system for the MH and toad you've got $540 spent and a really good tire gauge is still $15.Oh and some of them get you extra for wireless and extra if you need over 40' of wireless... Kinda like KOA....:B
