RE: AWning broke

What dealer? How far are you from Beckleys in Fredereck. Winnie may send you there for warranty work if you are dissatisfied with your dealer.

RE: Spring Gultch campground in PA

We belong to Thousand Trails so have stayed at Spring Gulch several times for $3 a night. We were at the lower end and 3-4 yr old liked the activities and the pool and playground. Don't believe they have wireless. Of course we were too close to Shady Maple. lol

RE: FCMA Michelin Tire Program/Any success? (Update)

We priced thru both the FMCA program and a local dealer. In our area the local truck dealer was cheaper.

RE: "on the road" internet equipment

Verizon Mi Fi small 3G $35 a month. Also if you are a veteran you get 15% a month off Verizon services. If you go over 3G will add another 1 for $10 that month. I have never gone over.

RE: Indian Creek RV Resort - Fort Myers

We own a lot in central FL., our maintenance and taxes run around $1100 a year. We can stay in our rig or put a park model on at a later date. I like the Ft Myers area so we may sell and move there later on. We stayed at Siesta Bay one year and enjoyed it and took line dance at Indian creek. Houses may be cheap now but a senior park with lots of activities is fun. Check out the Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte areas too, the traffic isn't as heavy. Good Luck

RE: Best ERS in Alaska, Yukon & B.C.

I suspect everyone requires a mounted tire for a tire change but we sure don't carry a spare, too heavy. Did the 12,000 miles to Alaska and back w/o one, figured they sell tires up there too.

RE: over the counter micro/convection

We replaced ours with the same model 5 years ago and have had no problems. I assume the new one is still under warranty. We don't run ours on an inverter as our Demensions is not pure sine and would not act right.Tried it by accident and it was slow and noisy. We used the same model as we didn't want to change the plate. If you do a search either here or the Winnebago IRV2 site, there is much written on the subject. Good Luck

RE: Moving Up

Just a thought, we are thinking about going back to gas as we no longer put the high milage on our rig to justify the hi maintenance of a deisel. There are a lot more filters and some are expensive.

Some of the national, state, and county parks were not designed for big rigs but we have covered every state and all of Canada, just read the park discription or RVparkreviews.com

RE: Winnebago Adventurer 2000 to 2003 models

We had a 2000 Adventurer 32 V. The config of the dump valves uses cables and they loosen and leak. I think the other models were the same for that year We installed an extra valve on ours because the cables are hard to get to. We put a Safe-T-Plus on our 32 to help with wind sway. The Ford engine was bulletproof but was noisy. We drove all the western mountains with no problems. I loved that rig but we put so many miles a year on it that we opted for a diesel. That year also had a water ingestion problem with the front filter. Ford had a fix for it but we made our own. We like basement heat and air but having 2 roofs would be nice if you had a problem. If we had a problem it can be fixed as it is a basic residential unit. We like using residential filters, much nicer than foam. We also like having plenty of 12V and electrical outlets, we looked at several mfg that had very few outlets. We also like the fiberglass roof, you must caulk regularly but we have have no complaints with either of our rigs.

RE: Is five years to long to run front tires

We changed our front Michelin xrvs at 7 and the rear at 7 1/2 had no checking or cracks but better safe than sorry. Our new Michelin 255 R80 22.5 were $500 a piece out the door.
