RE: LTV Shower hose clips

We got replacements like your photos from LTV back at one of their rallies before they were bought out. Haven't had a need to check with LTV since Wally is gone so can't speak to their current responsiveness but they were great.

RE: What is with used prices?

I find craigslist great for selling something like an old refrigerator.I always sell my old autos instead of trading them in when replacing them. I used to use the local paper and that wooked well, but that avenue has imploded so I have sold the last two on craigslist. Both sold within a week and with significantly higher prices then what the dealers offered if I traded them in. RVs are a different issue though since craigslist is more local so ebay or the other online sites might be better with a broader customer base. I wouldn't sell craigslist short though. When (if ever) we decide to sell our Class B I'll probably try craigslist first.

RE: Recovering MS Product Key

I use Belarc Advisor. It will give you a profile of your entire computer with product keys for all software. Folks recommended this years ago on this forum. Dennis and Cindy Henderson fulltiming, currently at Spring Gulch Campground in New Holland, PA :B :B :B What Dennis said! What Dennis and George said. :) Belarc advisor is a great utility for finding way more information than you ever wanted to know about your computer including all software licenses as stated. And it's free. I've used it for years and highly recommend it.

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Spring Compressor for LTV Class B

The air spring compressor stopped working on our LTV this summer but I just got around to finding a replacement since it doesn't leak enough air to need the compressor very often. Our LTV had a Firestone model "850" compressor but searching online found no reference to this model compressor. I did find a replacement after calls to Firestone/Ride-Rite and then to a parts outlet for Ride-Rite so I thought I would save someone else from a similar search by posting this info here. Firestone gave me several parts suppliers but SDTruckSprings.com was a winner. They also did not have any reference to the Firestone compressor in our LTV but after me sending photos and their contact with Firestone I have a replacement model on the way. Their prices seem good and they have free shipping. The mount is a little different but I think it will work in the space available. Here is what replaces our Firestone model "850" compressor: http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee209/asheguy/FirestoneRide-RiteCompressorReplacement.jpg The duty cycle is so low for this application that this appears to be the least expensive compressor Firestone makes for Ride-Rite.

RE: Roadtrek RS Adventurous and Gulfstream Vistacruiser MB

Never had a problem with the CCC on my Vista Cruiser.Ditto for us on our I5 Sprinter. Those that question the I5 Sprinter CCC limit usually are not owners. I weighed ours when fully loaded for a 6-week trip and still had 1000 lbs for people and whatever. Never been a problem with exceeding the CCC nor handling during our 100K miles of use. Maybe some conversion brands are heavier but our I5 Sprinter LTV has plenty of carrying capacity for us. And I agree with Chirpnchicks that the seating on our I5 Sprinter is more comfortable for long trips than any auto we have had. Lastly, we agree with wanting a unit with the refrigerator off the floor. It was one of the deciding factors in our choice of floor plan. All have their own varying wants and needs of course.

RE: Ninth Annual RV.net Class B Rally (B9) May 18-20, 2012

Total registered Class Bs for B9 now stands at 38. Pleasure-Way has surged to the lead in conversion brand. And Ontario is second only to Ohio in most participants from a state or province. Must be that Brusselers reunion thing. :)

RE: Another Reason to Own a B

"Another Reason to Own a B" is that it makes one eligible to attend the Annual RV.net Class B Rally. :) Click on that link or b-rally.org for more info. Thirty one RV.net members are registered but only one that has not been to a rally before. Come meet some fellow CVC forum members and get a look at a large range of Class B RV types. Sorry McK, I couldn't resist.

RE: Sleeping 3 adults in Class B?

Here's the 3rd bed made up in our Leisure Travel FreeSpirit 210B 3S that I am sleeping on tonight. I am 5' 6" and would not recommend it for anyone taller but it works just fine for me. This is the second time I have used this bed for myself on a 6-week trip. I have used the full size bed in the back for two teenage boys on both trips. For teenagers, the queen/king bed in the back can be used as two twins without the table to fill in the gap. That makes setup much easier (just fold down the sofa. For adults, they would probably want the normal full bed setup. Our model is a 2005 conversion and I haven't followed how the newer LTVs handle a 3rd bed option. But in this model on the Sprinter chassis, three adults can be accommodated if the third adult is short. As you can see in the photo, the side door is partially blocked as mentioned by previous posters but one could get out if necessary. And it's fairly simple to fold up the 3rd seat to make to door fully usable if necessary. But we have never had the need in the total of twelve weeks of use to need to exit. I am the last to bed and the first up. Just a side note, tomorrow the odometer on our LTV will cross the 100K mileage threshold. http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee209/asheguy/210B3S3rdBed.jpg

RE: Ninth Annual RV.net Class B Rally (B9) May 18-20, 2012

Vaporboy may not be the most diplomatic poster but he did get some interest going on the rally page. :) As the originator of this thread I would like to respectfully suggest that some of the responses to vapoorboy (not vaporboy) are a little over the top. I'm just saying...
