RE: Gunky Shower Drain

We have used a regular plunger for years on several different styles of drain. Since they are not vented with an overflow the plunger works great. No chemicals and it cost a couple dollars and lasts for years. You don not take anything apart or poke anything in a drain.

RE: Newbie's Need Help with Rear End

Most caps are molded fiberglass. Like a boat hull only thinner. Needs to allow some flex to stay sealed at the edges. I agree with the fiberglass over foam but use a seal on the foam with a release agent. The shape is up to your artistry but not too heavy.

RE: Running generator while driving

They are designed to run while driving. If you have been dry camping and have low house batteries it takes some of the charge load off the chassis engine alternator and can keep it from overheating.

RE: Air pressure

All of the manufacturers tire inflation charts and all safty orgainzations say to check tire pressure with the tires COLD. Not up for discussion.

RE: Duo-therm airconditioner torque for hold down bolts

Do not use a sealant. Just the foam seal properly snugged down. Seals should be replaced pe the recommendation of the manufacturer.

RE: Overhead Lights dimming in coach

Are you talking about 110 volt or 12 volt lights. Are they on a dimmer type switch? Our 110 volt lights on a dimmer switch will dim momentarily when an AC unit starts. It happens at home also as the starting ampreage of the AC unit or other appliance is pretty high.

RE: no turn signal or hazard lights

Beaver Ambassador Club is the Beaver Owners Club. You can browse the forum without being a member but consider joining it is a valuable source of information and if you think you would like to go to rallies with fellow Beaver Owners a good bunch of people who love to have fun.

RE: Changed tire size

We went from 255/70 R 22.5 H to 275/70 R 22.5 J Michelin non XRV tires. Had to reposition the front axle. You need to mount and check clearances.

RE: 1990 beaver contessa diesal

One note if you are using an adapter from 50 amp to a 30 amp service it will not work on a GFI protected circut.

RE: Blow Out

Good Year stood behind a G670 275/70 R 22.5 H when we experienced a side wall failure a year ago June. Covered the tire and damage as it was a front tire failure.

RE: Washer/dryer combo

We have a non vented Splendie. It ts a compromise compared to separate units but is OK. If we have a big job we go to a lundramat and do in an hour what would take all day with the small Splendie.
