RE: Honda CRV 2007 - Smell and Tire Wear

We tow an 08 CR-V and I have just replaced the original Continental tires after 23,000 miles plus 7,000 towed miles. You won't find many positive remarks about the OEM tires on the newer CR-V's. Had a wheel alignment done and the tecnician said a couple of the tires were well out of limits. In any event the CR-V drives and rides much better than it did when it was new. The new tires are Goodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring (that's a mouthful). I'm sure there are other brands/models that are just as good. The problem with the original tires was cupping even though I rotated them every 5-6000 miles. Hope to have a better experience with these tires. Good luck. 		AliCat 08/14/11 02:15pm Dinghy Towing
