RE: do I need airbags for my F250 diesel

Hey - if you're looking to justify a gift from Santa then of course you need em - we'll stick up for ya. I'd say you want them to level the load and improve side to side stability

RE: Odd towing question

Holy cow! The OP had a legitimate question and is being persecuting for asking it! For a group that claims to be helpful, we sure do have some here that have a difficult time being polite. OP, it's not a good idea. If I were you, I would just wait until the Spring when you can afford an adequate tow rig. THANK YOU, for being conscientious enough to come on here and ask for advice instead of just doing it without even considering the risks involved. See you on the road. Very well said!

RE: Silverado-steps

I have the 4" oval Westin Tubes. The right side front bracket did interfere with the DEF tank - that is until I loosened the tank straps a pushed it back an inch or so.

RE: swivel wheel attached to the trailer

taylord - you may want to consider finding a way to cover the wing - it get real dirty back there. Actually it doesn't seem to get as dirty as you might think. Ours never got too bad even when towing on wet roads. They did get dirty but not anywhere near as bad as I was concerned about. Just a bit of surface dirt. Not that a cover isn't a bad idea, but make sure it fits tight and doesn't flap or you'll have no paint instead of dirty paint. :O GezaGear makes some good covers, not cheap but good. Trailered 2 wings in March from Twin Cities to Death Valley - snow & sand = really dirty bikes. stuff got into places only a wing can hide

RE: Upholstery cleaner

We have a "Little Green Machine" by Bissell and it does a good job on the vehicles and camper. X2 - buy a jug of Rug Doctor cleaner and make an afternoon of it

RE: Winterizing - Jayco Designer manifold problem

I'll be reading the manual in a few days so I'm working from memory here - I think you need to open the low point drain to "prime" the lines so they draw from the jug. Sounds goofy I know but the process in the book works

RE: Towing Mirrors for 2011 Silverado

Just paid $350 after tax for a replacement passenger side mirror. Seeing as that's #3 in 3 years - I'm putting Monsterautoparts in my favorites.
