RE: Fuel Pump?

Sounds Like the classic fuel pump problem to me!.......I went on 2 more camping trips after mine failed.....I just kept the tank full and drove only about 100 miles before filling up again........
Replace it with a factory fuel pump and you wont have that problem again....

RE: Converting manual light fridge to auto-ignite with UIB

Buy a Dometic reigniter, p/n 293113201P and hook it to a switch and the electrode. It won't be all electronic, but it will reignite the flame if it blows out.
Re-engineering the whole system would cost more than selling it and buying an all electronic model, if the even make one your size.
Chris.............is that part number supposed to be a "P" or a "9"?

RE: Converting manual light fridge to auto-ignite with UIB

&srGet yourself a BBQ ignitor like the one linked to below.......wire it so it's constantly igniting while you are driving down the road........when you get stopped go back and turn it off......
My dad had a similar device on his first truck camper fridge that continually blew the flame out.......it worked really well except when he forgot to turn it off and crawled into bed.......when it got real quite you could here it going...........tick..........tick... ..tick..........:B

RE: Propane Powered Air Conditioner

Why not just power the compressor of the A/C unit with propane instead of electricity?......I don't think the OP meant to make the RV into a refrigerator:H

RE: Changing your own oil (Ford F-53 / V-10)

I punch a hole in the bottom of my oil filters......then let it drain for 10 minutes before unscrewing them......that way oil doesn't run down the sides of the filter while I'm turning it.....

RE: Trik-l-start on 2001 Bounder

Does this circutry also keep chassis battery charged? That is what I need to know.
Yes, the circuitry keeps both sets of batteries charged regardless of whether you are driving, plugged into shore power or running the generator.......
Under the hood of your coach in a black box there is a circuit board......that circuit board may have gone bad.......mine went bad a few years back......cost was about $130.00........when mine went bad my house batteries were being charged but my chassis battery was not being charged......after about 2-3 weeks of not being driven the chassis battery was too weak to start the engine......
Go over to the Bounder Yahoo group and look for a guy named Bud Weisbrod.......he has a document that expalins how to check that circuit board.......and if it is bad he can sell you one or tell you were to buy one.......http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bounder

RE: Headlights are wimpy

Re-wire the headlights running them directly from the battery using a 30 amp relay for the controls/dash switch will really brighten them up a bunch.......

RE: Trik-l-start on 2001 Bounder

Your Bounder already has circuitry to keep the house battery charged when hooked to shore power and when the engine is running........if that is not happening then you have something broken......

RE: Kindle or Nook?

I bought my wife a Nook for last Christmas.........she likes having Barnes and Nobles Brick and mortar stores to go into with her Nook.......they have in store content and specials when you bring the Nook in.......she also likes having the touch/color screen at the bottom.......something the kindle doesn't have.....

RE: Foof A/C "On" and "Off" While Drivng

What I had been thinking of doing is adding some sort of remote, either wired or wireless, to the A/C circuit so I can turn it on and off from the drivers seat. Anybody try this?
That would be easily accomplished with this simple....remote control

RE: Water Softners - EasyWater against traditional ones

Bill,
If you are happy with Culligan soft water..........you will not be happy with easy water........it's a different kind of softwater.......easy water allows calcium build up on your fixtures unlike what you have now.....
My FIL had salt based soft water and bought into that electronic softwater........within 4 months he converted back to the old style......
I've got Culligan softwater and a reverse osmosis system and would not be without either system.........
