RE: Texas to Palm Springs
Look at Emerald Desert in Palm Desert RV resort. Pricey but very nice. My neighbor stays there for a month every year. A step down is in Catheral City. I can't think of the RV park there. Indio also has a lot a lot of "RV parks. I was in Hemet last week for very nice weather.

House Batteries
I need new house batteries. What kind do you reccommend? Right now I have 4 6 volt in a 40' 2005 Journey DP. To be honest I don't do a very good job of maintaining them. I am looking at the 6 volt golf cart batteries from Sam's but also looking at AGM's because I don't always check the water ofter enough but is the price worth it.
Thanks for the help. I don't do a lot of dry camping but go to Quartzite for a couple days and spend the night at Walmart when traveling to and from a destination.

I have been looking for quite a while and the one I want is $400.00 but I'm not paying that. I have a 4 bike rack but I have to remove it when I want to get in the back of the SUV and since I like to ride a lot the one I have is a pain. This rack is 1/2 off and only $80 but if it doesn't do what I want it doesn't matter how cheap it is.

Bike Carrier
I am looking at a 3 bike carrrier at Camping World. Catalog #54923 http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/folding-3-bike-carrier/54923
If anyone has this bike carrier I am wondering if it tilts down to access the back of the SUV. I called catalog sales and a store but they didn't have an answer and I don't want to pay for shipping back if it doesn't work as I would like.

Sorry for your loss.
I lost my wife a year ago on this month. I got in my RV after it happened just to get away from the house we lived in for 37 years. I couldn't stand to be in the house and had to get away. I have friends in ?So. Cal that I visited and they really helped a lot. For me just getting away and keeping my mind on something else helped.
I looked at the single RVing club and there are some but that wasn't my choice. After a period of time I looked at the online dating sites. After 40 years of marrage it is hard to live alone.
