RE: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To ffnremtp11;
I really want to get to Tall Pines Harbor. We were supposed to go last fall, but the hurricane cancelled that. Maybe this year, although the weekends seem to be filling up fast.

RE: Help with lifts for bed storage?

dtalley,
You will need 1 kit. The kit comes with 2 gas springs, and all the hardware you need to install both gas springs.

RE: Help with lifts for bed storage?

Go to HatchLift.com They have the whole kit for sale. I got the heavy duty which was 120# gas springs. They also have 80# springs. Installation was easy and fast. Everything worked out great. I recommend checking them out.

RE: New Sprinter

Thanks for your concern Larry.I felt quite comfortable towing the TT 450 miles from the dealer. I set the dual cam up myself, not the dealer, and I have some tweeking to do as I go with more weight. With the wind I was dealing with on the way back, I could not have been more pleased with the handling of the rig. This TT is not any longer than the one I traded in. It is heavier and a few inches taller, which increases the windage. I upgraded my receiver, spring bars and gears in the van. I am ready to tow. I do not believe I will ever hit the gross weight of the trailer. I like to give the equipment I use, credit for doing the job for which I have bought it for.

New Sprinter

We now own a 2012 Sprinter 327FLS. Drove 450 miles with my trade and 450 miles back with the new Sprinter. Everything went well. Come on camping season.:)

RE: 1200# or 1700# spring bars

Dodge guy; I do not expect to load to GVWR. It is a Sprinter 327 FLS.
8110# dry
1040#TW dry
3090# CCC
I'm figuring running around 10K. The TW starts out heavy but I am suspecting the TW will become lighter as the TT is loaded since there is a ton of storage in the bedroom at the other end of the TT taking weight off the tongue. That is the only problem I see with this unit, keeping enought weight on the tongue.

RE: 1200# or 1700# spring bars

WyoTraveler; Thank you. I always overlooked the 1500# bars. I think that would be perfect.
To Kanyonkitty; I have upgraded my receiver so it will take the weight. Thank you

1200# or 1700# spring bars

I am looking at TT's in the 10,000-11000 gvw. I have 1200# trunnion spring bars. Figuring 13-15% on the tongue, that puts me somewhere in the middle of 1200# and 1700# spring bars. I do not think they make 1500# trunnion bars.I'm not sure which way to go. Any suggestions?

RE: Anyone make a TT with quad BH and corner shower?

We were told by a dealer, that the industry does not usually put a corner shower in when you have a bunkhouse. Having said that. The Aerolite 318BHSS has a corner shower, But, it is not a quad bunk TT. You might have a little trouble finding one. Good luck in your search.

RE: Broke Reese trunion hitch head

I had the same problem. I called Reese and they sent me a new one. It turned out it was the same old part number. I called them again and they sent the new part #. I now have a brand new shank and old part number head that they never collected on.

All American Coach rv wholesale superstore

I never thought I would be in a position to ask this question, but, has anyone ever dealt with All American RV Wholesale Superstore in Sylvania Ohio. I got a quote from them, and it was alot lower than RV Wholesalers for the same unit. Any experiences?

RE: Good job PNC

I read the title and all the pent up feelings came rushing back. All I have to say is that PNC as a bank is WORTHLESS,WORTHLESS,WORTHLESS!!! I speak this from experience as a business owner. I pity anybody that has to deal with this bank, and if there is anybody that has had good luck with them, I would consider myself very fortunate.

RE: MPG differences...WOW!

Sometimes the MPG is affected by the quality of the gas. Case in point, I drove 150 miles from Pa. to Winchester Va.a straight shot down I-81. Going down I got 7.5MPG at 65MPH. I filled up at Winchester and coming back north I got 9MPG going the same speed. In our area, I have heard that they are putting up to 20% ethanol in the gas. I'm thinking in Winchester, they are not. I don't know what else it could be. I have an E-350 with V-10 pulling 7500 lbs. with 5 dogs in the van.

RE: cable operated slides

My rear slide is cable operated. It is an '08 and I have snapped 3 cables. It is always the same one. The dealer can't seem to get the alignment right. After questioning them several times the excuse is, the techs have been to school to learn how to work on them, but, there are not as many cable slides out there and when there is a problem, they forget a lot of what they learned because they don't work on them as much. When a cable snaps, I can still use the slide. Often I will use it until the end of the season, then get it fixed. The one problem you might encounter when a cable snaps and you still use it, is the cable might tangle up with the other cables and jam. So far that has not happened to me. I have an extended warranty, so it does not cost me anything to get it repaired, but it is a inconvenience to get it repaired. Would I buy another TT with a cable slide? Probably.
