RE: Foscam FI8910W Wireless IP Camera

I have 1 Foscam 18918W. I love it. I set it up myself. You need to know how to portforward and setup a dnydns account. Once you do that you're set. Piece of cake.
I can view it on my iphone, ipad, and computer on the internet.
I even can view it on a Kindle Fire.
Love it.
Got one for home, and one for the office.

Verizon, keep this in mind!

Last month I forgot that my cell service with Verizon has Canada as a long-distance Country. I called a Canadian 800 number. It cost me $9.00 for one call.
My fault. Just reminding everyone. I should have used my calling card.

RE: Internet Radio

Here is what I did.
I bought a Yamaha RX-671 receiver.
It has built-in WiFi or hard wire ethernet.
The intergrated Internet radio is fantastic.
Has hundreds of stations along with Pandora.
The TV Interface GUI for the Internet radio is wonderful.
You can even control it with a iPhone,iPad, iTouch app.
Has duo zones for two sets of speakers
Has a iPhone,iPod, iTouch input.
You can do just about everything with this unit.
Has 6 HDMI inputs, more than I will ever need.
Works great with my 3D TV and my blue ray.
Buy it Best Buy or Amazon.
I paid $499 for this unit, seen it as low as $ 449.
Considering what you get. It's worth every penny.
My last Yahama unit cost me $1200 back in 1997. Now it's worthless.

RE: 2+ iPhones, 1 iTunes, & seperate Contact list?

Put all of your contacts on a yahoo account. Then each phone will sync with it's own yahoo account.
I like the calendar sync too.
You have everything safe on yahoo for a backup.

RE: Apple Offering Free Replacement for 1st Gen iPod Nanos

We have one of these. It works great. Had it for years, the Nike + works great. Better than the newer nanos. Gonna keep what I have. The wife likes it better than the new nanos. Using for jogging and running only. It's been flawless.
Bought I 2006, refurbished from the Apple Web Store.

RE: Has anyone heard this APPLE story?

Where are you getting $30 figure from? I haven't seen a plan for $30 a month for the iPhone.
I got two iPhones and paid $400 up front. I then was locked into a 2 year contract for $120 per month for both phones. So $120x24=$2880+400=$3280. I'd say that's a pretty good return.
Data plan.
I have a cell plan, it went up only $30 I pay for my data plan that was added with the iPhone. The other $120 / month they were collecting while I was using my 5 year old Razr. Now, that was a grea deal foe Verizon.

RE: Has anyone heard this APPLE story?

Remember when the iphone first came out people WERE paying around 500.00? Then the second wave came out for less and then the first purchases complained and apple gave them some of their money back?
How long did this price go on for 1 million phones or more? They got their money. Also loose you phone or dump it in a lake and then go to buy another one, you won't get the second one for 199.00! :W
Its based on your credit what you pay for the phone. Zip credit = 500.00 phone. I met several upper level income people who filed BK and actually paid $500.00 for the phone.
The whole cell phone issue is getting to be a giant joke. That's why I won't download updates on my sprint mobileband, contract expired 5 years ago and I like it that way!

p://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_did_a_PS3_cost_when_it_first_came_out
AT&T initially passed on the high price to the customer. And we all saw what happened. AT&T made Apple take the hit. It's Apple pricing that is the issue.
MRSP for the iPhone is $599. That's the kicker. Or Joke, or what ever.

RE: Has anyone heard this APPLE story?

Let's see this another way as the CFO of the wireless provider.
We have a -$401 in revenue for each signed iPhone contract for this year. Then we get ($30x24months) increased revenue over two yrs +$720 over two years.
So we spent $401 to get a + $319 over 24 months. Looks like a bad deal for the wireless provider.
$319/ 24 months only averages $13.30 / month thru the two year contract.
Not worth the $600 investment.
I'd vote it down at a finance meeting.
I guess that's what Verizon did back in the beginning.
And Sprint is stuck, they gotta do the bad deal.
Looks like a bad cash flow deal. If pricing gets tough it will even look worse.
Let's figure 1,000,000 phones. This year will be a -$401,000,000.
Wow!

Has anyone heard this APPLE story?

I heard this from a good source.
Apple charges the cell phone company $600 for every iPhone.
But I just paid $199 for mine?
Who ate the other $401?
Is that why Sprint said it will take two years to break even on the iPhone?
One thing I would do if I was the CEO of a wireless provider. I would support the competitors, Android and Blackberry as much as possible.
If Apple slips and the others take off, bye bye Apple.
I'd drop them like a lead bucket.
Someday Apple will get payback from the wireless providers.
It's because of this I don't see Blackberry going away like Palm did.
Till then, well we all can see what has happened.

RE: Pilot/FlyingJ Iphone app

The App is good, but limited to Pilot and Flying J.
Last month down in Virginia, checked the Gas Buddy app for Diesel and the Loves beat the Flying J by 5 cents/gal near Winchester. As a Matter of fact the Liberty Station beat Flying J too.
So The app works ok but Gas Buddy shows all Gas stations and prices to compare. I guess the Pilot/Flying J app can help with propane prices and other Pilot/Fling J stuff.

RE: Nothing Broke this last trip!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!

I did 4000+ miles since the spring. Nothing broke or fell apart. My Winnie is doing us well. Still have 2 yrs left on my 7 year warranty.
I guess we're lucky this year.
One jack was slow retracting on the first trip but by the last trip it retracted like normal. I wonder if sitting all winter 4-5 months makes the jacks unhappy.
