RE: need help connecting satellite to system

Clay L - we did get a Modulator due to the exact situation you described. Still not successful. Will incorporate/trial and error all the suggestions. Sure we'll figure it out! Thanks to everyone.

RE: Resort camping near savannah, ga

Really no "resort" type CGs in Savannah area. Skidaway Island is the best available. Visit, visit, visit, visit Savannah! Our favorite city anywhere!

need help connecting satellite to system

Cannot figure out how to connect Direct TV to our TV system. Here's a pic of the system's box.

Here's a pic of the back of the box:

Here is a picture of the front of the box. There is a coaxcable into the Satellite plug. I do not know where to put my satallite box.

RE: Lake Gaston to Williiamsburg, Va

Actually staying in Valentine, Va (north side of the Lake) and going to American Heritage RV park just northeast of Williamsburg. Have seen routes going both I 85 and I 95. Seems a bit pointless to go west to end up east???

RE: Myrtle Beach to Norfolk, Va travels in Oct.

KOA in New Bern, NC. Right off Rt 17 - honestly, a nice park. Not a "Resort", but a good place to stay and New Bern is a nice place to visit for an afternoon. Check out reviews in www.rvparkreviews.com

RE: SEWER HOSE SUPPORT

We use a Slunky that can be bought at Wal Mart and Camping World. Have used it for years. Very simple and works very well.

central Virfginia - Petersburg to Appomattox

DH and I are planning a week long visit to central Va. in late July. Travelling in a MH with toad. Staying in Williamsburg for a 2-3 days then want to see Civil War historical sites as we make our way west towards Appomattox and Lynchburg. Can anyone suggest a trip route that would give us the best Civil War traveling experience and a campground to stay in once we're around Appomattox/Lynchburg? Any "must sees" or "don't waste your times" that you've experienced? Thanks for the help.

height measurement for Class A

When told by manufacturer that the rig is exactly 12' tall, does that include measuring height of AC unit and antenna that folds down onto roof or is the RV actually taller than the 12' listed? Believe that is important to know for traveling. Thanks.

LP Gas

Just got a new to us 2006 Georgie Boy Pursuit. Question is:
Should the propane gas tank be turned off when the RV is in use? We keep it in our driveway. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Debit! Very little cash for small purchases. As others said, very easy way to keep track of how much is spent.

even brake portable braking system for toad

Looking at an even brake portable braking system for our new (2012) Ford Fiesta. Anyone used even brake? Pros and cons? Even Brake web site warns about using this with a Ford equipped with a "neutral tow" package. Our car is stick shift, not automatic. Bought it that way because Ford says it can be towed 4 on the ground with the stick tranny in neutral. Any experiences we should know about? Thanks.

planning trip to Virginia

DH and I are planning a trip in the MH (34') for about 2 weeks through Virginia in late July. Focus will be on Va history, with Civil War sites a real goal. Thinking of starting off around Williamsburg, then Petersburg and Richmond, then areas in between ending up maybe in the Shenandoah Valley. Any "must see" suggestions or CG's we should stay at or avoid? Please only share about places you have actually been to. Any and all pieces of info will be appreciated. We will have a toad that will make us more mobile!! Thanks again for your help.

RE: month long stay

Used to have a permanent site at Otter Lake and agree there is much to do both at the campground and in the area for kids. Lake is stocked with fish (at least it was when we were there) and very good rec facilities. Indoor and outdoor pools, swimming in the lake as well. Planned activities just about every day in the Spring, Fall and Summer months. Just over the Delaware River in Pa, up a winding Mountain road near East Stroudsburg, Pa. Great bathroom facilities as well. Think its a great option for family with kids any time of the year.
Hold on. Haven't been there in over 10 years and just read a number of reviews on http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Pennsylvania/Marshalls_Creek.html
Seems there may have been changes since we were there. Might want to check out this link before you make your choice.
