Dish is new never been used.
Dip switch has been set for Dish.
The receiver I have is on the compatible list from Winegard.

Dish Receiver 301 and Winegard Carryout
Does anyone have this setup and do you have or have had problems.
I have a Carryout that I am thinking of purchasing but can't get it to work. I have been using the tripod for years and thought this would be easier but so far I have reservations
I have done the step by step according to the Winegard Manual and it seems to take so long with the 50 item checks.
I have a call to Winegard and hope I hear tomorrow.
So I would appreciate if you have any secrets that will get the thing working.

I got tired of the plastic strap for the cap of the water fill outlet breaking off all the time. So today I got a small piece of chain and put a cotter pin in the cap and attached the chain and the attached the chain to the outlet base. The cotter pin allows the cap to turn and now I will not need to replace for a long time.

Well today I finally got my wifes computer back from the computer repair shop. It was the motherboard and the inverter. So the bride is happy again.

Just got a call from the Computer Repair Shop and it is the Motherboard for $82.00 plus $50.00 to install and I will have it back in few days. Happy with the price and the service. ED

UPDATE
Swapped screen and inverter and it still did not work.
So I took it to a repair place and the guy thinks it is the motherboard and maybe the video card. Will know Monday so I hope it is easy fix. Will update when I get call. ED

UPDATE:
Put a new screen and inverter and still the same problem. Hooked it up to a Monitor and it works fine. So I guess I'll have to get an estimate and then compare that price to a new one.

Momma's Laptop Screen Gone
Momma's laptop screen is gone. When she turns it on it is just a gray screen. Hooked it up to my monitor and all is well. Computer is 4 years old and wondering if anyone has changed out the screen and if so where did you get it and is it a DIY project? I think she is getting a new computer what would you do? Thanks Ed

How Much Memory Do You Really Need for Tablet
Thinking about getting a Samsung Tablet 7.0 with 8 GB memory and was wondering if that would be enough or should I purchase one with larger memory. I plan to use it just to check email and web browsing but not sure what apps I would want in the future. So for those of you that have tablets I would appreciate and info. Thanks Ed

Free and Legal Website to Download Music
Love to listen to jazz and get all my downloads from itunes now I want a particular song and itunes does not have it. Any suggestions on a free and legal site where I could download music. I did a Google Search and there are many but thought I'd ask for a recommendation.

I do have one of the 3in1 printer/scanner/fax in the office and a small one here in the front room which I use the most. So the question still remains as stated. I really don't want to bring that big 3in1 in to the front room. I really like the small one here and it fits into a unique place as is out of sight.

Fax Machine & Printer That Use Same Ink Cartridge
Does anyone have a fax and printer that uses the same cartridge?.
I only use the fax about 1-2 times a year and by then the cartridge is dried out. The new cartridge costs $20.00 and I'm too cheap to buy one and use it to send 1 fax. Plus when I want to use it it is always dry. The printer I use all the time.
I tried that free fax service but then I have to have someone pay charges for a long distance rate so that is not an option. I know I'm cheap but there has to be a better way to do this so I know I'm not the only one out there that has this problem. Thanks Ed

Today I did a detailed inspection of the underside of the trailer and I have a 27RL with the sealed underside. I could not find any openings but then I took another look at the water tank and peeled back the cover and there was a hole in the black paper like sealant that was for the water tank fill. The hole was about 6" round for a 2" fill hose. So I stuffed two big steel wool packets in the hole and then covered it with foam. I hope this is the solution and I still have 6 traps inside with PB and no evidence of any mice. But I will keep the traps inside just to be on the safe side.

The trailer has that mesh cloth on the underside. There does not appear to be any openings but I will check again in the am.

Can Mice get in Trailer via Refrig and Heater Vents
Today I checked the trailer and found evidence of mice. I have checked everywhere and the only opening to the trailer are at the Refrig and Heater Vents. The underside in completely enclosed and there are no openings that I can see. After it got dark I turned all the lights on and checked the underside and I could see no holes of any sort.
I was wondering if it is possible to put screen over the Refrig and Heater Vents. I know CW has one for the Heater but what about the Refrig. Maybe I'll call Norcold Tech and see what they say.
I have had numerous RVs over the years and thought I had this mice thing in the bag but I guess not.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
