RE: Summer Jobs winding down - would you come back?

Nancy, Thank you for the email reply . I am going to think positive and apply for next summer . Good Luck with your next adventure . ^X2. The DW is "retired on my income" and strongly considering doing camp hosting next summer, hopefully in either Yellowstone or Glacier National Parks. I have a three day weekend every other week, and both parks are about a four hour drive from our S&B and my work, so I can go to whichever park she is at frequently. Being a partially disabled (retired) vet I have a golden access passport for free entry, so that helps too. Thanks again for your help. Dave

RE: Early Retirement - trying to figure this out

Ha, Texan, I know what you do and for a good part of the year most on here would not do it.I might, maybe could, but wife won't even talk about it, I am sure you know 2-3 reasons why. O. I was not one of those that gave you any BS, but I saw all the people asking for "Me Too please pm me. Folks what he does can be dangerous and very dirty.EdI was career military...which can be dirty and dangerous. Would love to hear from The Texan through a PM. So long as the activity is legal and moral, I'm all ears. I'm retired Air Force Security Police, trust me I know dangerous and dirty; but now working civil service. Texan can you PM me the details also? TIA, Dave

RE: Summer Jobs winding down - would you come back?

Hello from Yellowstone! We are starting to hear of the dates people are leaving, and merchandise is starting to be condensed to other stores. it is so hard to believe its starting to wind down! We are at a store open til Nov 7th, one of the last. But time has flown and we are glad we did this! Any other comments on your summer gig? Nancy Skip/Char - where are you? we haven't said hello yet! Nancy, can you (or anyone else for that matter) provide contact information for someone we could talk to at YNP about camp hosting? We live 4 hours north and the DW is thinking about doing a summer of camp hosting there while I remain up here to work. TIA, Dave

RE: If you have the money

Truck!!!! Do not like the new trucks. So would like to have a 06 SB CC SRW F350, 19.5 rear tires. No 6.0 international under the hood but a I6 Cummins 5.9 with 650/700 lb. TQ, & a 6 speed Allison transmission with air rear suspension. Now that would be a truck. red That is my dream truck! Unless I am getting a 5er specially made, I would go with the Open Range R412. Love the idea of having a bathtub. I just wish someone would come out with opposing bedroom slides, with a floor plan I like...

RE: How Many Fan-tastic/Maxxair Fans in 30 Foot 5th Wheel?

Our fiver is a little over 30 feet and we have 3 of them; bedroom, bathroom and living area/kitchen. We wouldn't be without them. Mike Our fiver is 39 and a half feet. From back to front; We have A/C in living room, a F/F in the kitchen (factory installed), I replaced the little bathroom fan with a Vortex, and installed a MaxxFan Delux in the bedroom. Bathroom blowing out and other two blowing in we get quite a breeze blowing through.

RE: FINALY CAMPING I THINK.

Ok,its been since 4th of July weekend since I've been camping.I'm in the middle of a big backyard redo, demo, and all that goes along with any project.Wife's wonderfull idea to do a makeover.I've been working my regular 8hour days at my real job and then come home and work another 5 sometimes 6 hours on the project a day. I feel your pain, except my backyard makeover is my fault not hers. I decided I wanted a 40X10 gravel parking pad in my back yard. Let me tell you, it wasn't near as easy as I thought it would be. Finally down to compacting the gravel tonight and the new sod will be delivered tomorrow, so HOPEFULLY after this weekend it will be DONE!
