RE: Transfer switch stuck WF-T57

Get rid of it and replace it with one made by Progressive Dynamics. The switch you reference has been recalled, at least in the Keystone Montana line.It was the ITS-50 by Iota that was recalled by Keystone because they didn't install it correctly. This is what happens when people jump the gun when they don't know what they are talking about.

RE: to chip or not to chip DURAMAX engine?

Total waste of time, money and brain cells IMO. I've chipped two trucks and won't again. Oh but I wanted the towing power, fuel milage and planned to keep the truck forever! Good luck with that decision, really.

RE: Upgrading my Magnatek 7355

For the same price, you could get it from a real company with tech support and real people (Friendly too) AND probably actually have it in stock. I'd give Bestconverter a shot to help you as so many have. Fantastic tech support. www.bestconverter.com
As I said, I don't know much about this stuff, That is why I come here!;)
It hit me like a ton of bricks a few years ago when I was more naive than I am today! After about 20 minutes on the phone diagnosing my electrical problem (for FREE I might add) I had the nerve to ask if I could save a dollar at my local dealer. After a quick pause I felt like a total idiot and ordered right up and continue that philosophy when somebody is willing to help me like that.

RE: Upgrading my Magnatek 7355

I am considering upgrading my Magnatek 7355 converter to one with a smart charge feature. I am looking at INTELI-POWER 9200 SERIES CONVERTER/CHARGER - 60 AMPS here
Is 60 amp adequate? I have been running 2-12 volt AGM series 27 for some time now, am happy enough with the batteries but they get pretty hot when sitting on shore power for extended periods of time with low usage.
My biggest concern is overcharging and incorrectly charging AGM batteries.
Would love to hear from anyone with experience at this.

RE: Go Power versus Morningstar versus Samlex

Does that Go Power have Pos on one side and neg on the other end? I guess if you don't need to run the cables in parallel into a cabinet or something it would work.

Trojan makes a great battery but Costco's is more intriguing so it’s pretty much a toss-up.

RE: Go Power versus Morningstar versus Samlex

Go-Power has been selling those PSW 300w for years. PowerMax has only recently gotten some business with them. PowerMax's website is out of date. Who knows what they are up to by now? They are sort of busy. (which is good for anybody in business these days!)
Anyway it just shows you can't tell the players without a program.
It's almost like washing machines. Lots of brands and one factory :)
Good point. I'd like to see somebody start a battery company and find it cheaper than branding a Johnson! Anymore, I shop warranty.

Who's making the Go Power? I thought some of their stuff was actually Samlex rebranded. I like the Samlex line.

RE: 12v Junction Box for PD4655 Install

I got it to boost mode by pressing the button i was just surprised it didnt go there on its own.
That is the standard PD answer. If you don't like its automatic mode, keep pressing the button until you like what you see. Aweful automatic charger.

RE: Generators

I really like the Powerhouse. Just as quiet and about half the money with the same warranty. You will find a lot of folks are wrapped on Db that is debated without actually listening to them. I can't tell the difference between a Honda, Yamaha or Powerhouse of the same size. Saw them demonstrated together last year and bought the Powerhouse, actually two of them.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System

TST
Sensors always on. (No need to roll first to wake them up.)Can easily drop/add the trailerTerrific Customer Support.
What brand requires rolling first to wake them up? Never heard of this before.
Ron
I believe Smartire does or did.
Hummmm, interesting. When "asleep", is there any drain on the batteries? I can see where that could be useful.
I unscrew my pressure pro sending units (sensors) when the coach is stationary for any period of time to help save the batteries.
However, once screwed back in, they will reset themselves to the current pressure, so I always have to check the tires with my gauge to make sure they are up to the correct level.
Ron
I do the same thing when parked for extended periods and I'm on my 5th year with the same sensors with my PP.
I don't know if Smartire batteries are "asleep" before they roll or not, probably are but personally, I want to know my tire pressure before I leave, rather than get notified a quarter mile down the road that I should have adjusted pressure or have one leaking. Also, if you have an issue with one of their sensors, you or someone is breaking that tire down to get to it.
