RE: How long before this becomes the new Class B?

We saw the Roadtrek version at the Chicago RV Show in Rosemont last weekend. Interesting and cool ( like all class B's) but just not for us.

RE: Any Xplorer Owners (Early-Mid 90s)?: Some Questions

As a fellow Xplorer owner, I would be glad to attempt to answer some of your questions. However ours is a '99 230XLW, so we are talking different years and models, with ours being the wide body model.
I do have the complete owner's manual and appliance brochures for our van. The manual is a three ring binder with type-written pages. I have copied it for another Xplorer owner on this forum who owns a very similar age/model van as ours.
Answers/guesses for your questions: 1. We don't have the four switches that you have, so no help there. 2. Our battery isolator is under the hood, just below the center of the windshield. 3. Our converter does not charge the chassis battery and does charge the house batteries. I replaced the single house battery with two smaller batteries, which fill all of the space in the original battery box under the side door step.
Also I'll note that many Xplorers have a button on the dash which, when depressed, connects the house battery/batteries to the chassis battery. This allows you to to start the engine using the house battery in the event of a dead chassis battery. Our button is to the right of, and below, the steering wheel.
Feel free to PM me if I can help or ask here.

RE: Xplorer 230 SLW RV

Handbasket is correct concerning the aftermarket dual rear wheels. I don't recall the manufacturers name (I think i've mentioned it on this forum previously), but I have the papers that came with our van from the dual kit maker, if anyone would need this info for any reason.

RE: Xplorer 230 SLW RV

We have a 1999 Xplorer 230 XLW which we purchased used 3-4 years ago. Have nothing but good things to say about the design, features, floorplan, and quality of build. We have taken many trips in it and enjoyed them all. Last year we took a six-week Alaska trip and loved every minute of it.
