20-mile area around resort has 25 major and smaller fishing lakes. River canoeing and fishing available on five rivers, including St. Croix River. There are historical sites from the logging and mining era throughout the 500,000 acres of state and federal parks and forests. Nearby are 100 miles of registered trout streams.
