A few years ago my neighbor and I found a loose nut on a solenoid that supplies power to fuse panel that controls ignition. found it by tracing cable from fuse panel to starter. it's on frame rail behind right front tire. who would have thought from factory this particular nut would be loose. it even has a rubber cover over copper stud and copper nut. checking all nuts and bolts would take more time than I will probably be alive if I started when it was new in '03!!

I have a class A DP, I've had gassers and two camper vans
I never would have thought to consider my jacks up or down as a roadside emg, they are NOT part of the drive train, running gear, motive source, that moves it down the road or stops it or steers it
they are a very nice luxury option, that I like having,
but coverage and service would either be extended warranty or some kind of concierge service
now if they suddenly malfunctioned while driving down the Rad and caused damages and I needed a tow, I would call my ERS to get me off the road and into a shop, but, m not calling them to fix my jacks, if I can't figure it out I'm going to find me a shop, either from rv.net or from a web search, but not by calling my ERS
just my opinion, yours is obviously different
i'm glad you found the problem and fixed it
but i think you expected to much, ERS is NOT a total blanket mechanical coverage for RV extras, even if said extra item interferes with you moving the RV
what happens when the slide out fails to retract ?
or the awning breaks,
and you can't pull out of the campground
these are NOT road side breakdown emg calls

If indeed the roadside assistance Winnebago provides through Coach net is only for the running portion of the moho which in my case is Ford then I am interested in getting a service that will help and specialize in RV related matters. I am interested in buying a service that has a network of RV specialists they can contact to assist me on site or in shop. I am not looking for them to pay for repairs just guide me to help when I am in an area where I don't know what is available or who is reliable. I have two other services for towing if the moho just won't go. The upside is that had they sent me an RV tech to fix things I would not have gotten the satisfaction of fixing it myself. By the way they did have a tech who spoke to us and was aware how to reset the controller. It didn't need to reset as the problem was the ground wire. I guess we do have the best roadside assistance right here on this web site. I get info on maintenance and repair, travel routes and overall good fun. For all of the expertise shared here I am grateful. And its free.

I think your expectations on road side assistance services is unrealistic. Good luck though.
My advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

What you found out is a perfect example of an electrical problem that can happen with any electric system at any time on an RV. These are extremely difficult to diagnose over the phone and not that easy to diagnose in person.
When I repaired shipboard electronic equipment the first thing we would do with a piece of broken equipment is to kick it. If the condition changed with the kick, we were looking for a loose, broken, or corroded connection, rather than a bad electrical component. Kicking a piece of equipment on an RV is not always possible, so to trouble shoot the problem you have to go through all of the steps to determine whether you have a bad connection or a bad component that is causing your problem. The problem with bad connections is that sometimes they will "fix" themselves, which makes the trouble shooting process that much harder. Do you quit looking for the problem when the system works, or do you continue to spend the customer's money while you look for what caused the problem to begin with? Just be thankful that you were not paying a shop $100+ per hour to find the problem and repair your leveler system. Good job.

I think coach-net did what we pay for. They suggested you try this. When it didn't work you could have called back and they would have suggested you try that. Or, give you a nimber to call for help. They chose people that should be able to help. When the person didn't call you back, I would have called coach-net back

I really didn't mean to get into a long discussion of coach net. I was a bit surprised that I didn't get names of techs who would work on site but now I know. I have friends who have used techs on site for repairs that were not related to ability to move the vehicle in both Traverse City and Gulf Shores. I noticed on site techs all over the park in San Diego so when I said I was willing to pay I was surprised they could not hook me up with some one with more skills than I possess. Rgatijnet1, thank you for that info. Pretty much what happenned to me. It was a problem that came and went so had to be a wire. Unfortuantely I wiggled a lot of wires and secured the connections. The ground was obviously a little loose and had dirt on it so I am thinking that was the problem. We shall see. I am not very confident with electrical. I understand the principles well enough to know just how little I really know.

Just to update we arrived at our destination late this afternoon and once again a moment of truth. Was it a fix or fluke? We engaged the jacks and they operated flawlessly. Much more "gusto" than normal so I think this has been a lingering problem that I was living with and it didn't surface as needing a fix until it got worse. I got some advice on this post and from some older threads I found on this site and several others. All helped. I think the best roadside service is RV. Net.
