I have 2 problems. 1. Our motor home has the older style brass water inlet fitting. It needs to be replaced. I have seen the newer style on the net. Is there any major problems to applying the new style? 2. Just before leaving Canada, 05:30 am in Jan. we discovered that we did not have any tail lights or clearance lights. I have brake lights, headlights, turn signals etc.Last time unit was used everything was fine. We were towing our vehicle on a dolly and used the tail lights on it for safety until daylight. I have checked all the bulbs, fuses, visible wiring etc. Any suggestions besides going to the dealer here in Mission TX.?
Thanks

If you checked all the fuses wiring and bulbs and its still not working you have lost the chassis ground to them…

It would help to know make and model of your rig.
I would recheck the fuses under the dash on many rigs for tailights.
What style of water inlet do you have? Brass, but is it on the side and what is wrong with the current one?

Our rv is a 2007 4 winds 5000, Chevy, 6 litre engine, on a Workhorse Chassis. No slides. Water inlet is brass and is becoming more difficult to tighten at each hook-up, so for less aggravation I thought it would be beneficial to install a new one.

What I did on the water inlet is added a brass quick disconnect. I tightened it onto the rig, use a cane or crutch cap to keep critters from entering it.
Another thing is to try a brass hose adpater that is available at most hardware stores. It is thicker and provides more surface for the hose connections to go on.
