How often do you guys that go weekend camping during the summer repack your bearings and what does it cost. Is it a do it yourself job and how hard is it.

Find someone to re-pack them and teach you the process. Then in the future you can do it yourself. Keeping things clean is very important. Chris

I have mine done every other year. An axle service runs about $100 per axle, includes new bearings as well as servicing the brakes.

I put about 6 to 10 thousand miles a year on our fiver and I clean and repack my bearings once a year in the spring. We have about 90,000 miles on the trailer and four years ago I changed out all the bearings although I am not sure they needed it.

I takemine to the Jayco dealer once a year (as we travel no less than 7 to 15 thousand miles a year) They charge me 98 bucks hardly worth doing it myself they will rotate the tires and grease the Mor/ryde.

Sorry, I live in SE Michigan but they are RV unfriendly. So I keep my TT at our house up north in NE Michigan, LOL.
I use Jays in Tawas as my dealer for the Jayco. They are about the nicest and friendliest folks I know.
I never have had a question unanswered and they will get Jayco to send drawings or whatever is needed to answer a query.

I had them put on the Mor/Ryde system on my present trailer and they were fair and reasonable.

Their main office is in Alpena. Doreen is the boss and shes the one I buy from although Andy at Jays would be a good choice also if you are near there.
Hope this helps

P I bought my first trailer near Northline road in Taylor but was not at all happy with the way they treated customers and the attitude of the owner really sucked. He had no compassion for anyone and it was evident in the way he talked about people.
Other folks told me to buy up north as I would get a better deal, they were right by 1500 bucks.
