Hopefully he goes to the Niners. Alex Smith needs to be let go even if this was his best year so far to date in the NFL. As good as the Niners were this past year because of our stellar defense and our pretty darn good offensive squad, we would have been down right lethal with a good quarterback. I kept seeing flashbacks of the Joe Montana and Steve Young era's everytime I watched the Niners play except for there was one missing key piece...... A good quarterback.

I hope he can continue to play but I want him to be 100% sure that his neck is healed and he won't do permanent damage if he plays again.

Keep him in the AFC, please . The Jets would be fine by me. Or Dolphins.

I agree, I hope that he is sure that he is totally healed before playing again.

Well being from Indiana I sure hope Peyton makes sure he is 100%. I would love to talk to Freeney now and see if he still thinks they can get along without Peyton, my guess is NO ! I would like to see Peyton stay and help get A. Luck ready.

Manning’s future is a huge question. The Indianapolis Colts must decide by March 8 whether to pay a $28 million roster bonus, which appears remote given his health and the likelihood of the Colts using the No. 1 overall pick on Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.

Because Manning is under contract, the Jets -- or any team -- can’t comment on potential interest. Jets owner Woody Johnson, in a recent interview, didn’t rule out the possibility of pursuing Manning. There are growing indications that the Jets, despite public support for Sanchez, are monitoring the situation and will explore it if he’s released.

“Mark Sanchez is the future of the Jets," coach Rex Ryan said Friday during a visit to the Pro Bowl practices in Hawaii. “He's a great quarterback. ... We're going to be together a long time.”

If he play he's risking being able to walk for the rest of his life or worse. Time to hang it up Peyton.
