Nice but tight, tight. Also consider Henderson Beach SP, or (even better) Topsail Hill SP.

if you mean camping on the gulf in destin florida, you couldn't pay me to stay there. Its a total dump, sites on top of each other, huge holes in road, park in dirt and sand, no thanks.

If you are planning an immediate trip, it's tough to find a spot at Henderson Beach or Topsail....they stay pretty full...

I vote for Topsail in FL panhandle. Great facilities, good location, etc.
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach on Alabama Gulf coast are other options. Great beach activities there also. We like to stay at Bay Breeze in Gulf Shores, but it is on the Bay Side. Shady and quiet. But your teenagers would probably prefer a little more "action". I think your family would love Topsail.

We stayed there and will not return. Rode through top sail and it looks nice.

Gulf camping is great. All Florida state parks are very nice. I would suggest Topsail or St. Andrews when traveling with teenagers due to proximity of activities outside the parks.

I stayed at Camping on the Gulf in Destin. The campground is nice. if you stay on the first row to the beach, there no sewer. Second row from beach has full hookups. It is super tight though. I think the sites further from the beach are roomier. Beach and water is beautiful.
