We got a wooden sign with our family name on it for christmas and are looking for a way to display it at our campsite. I have searhed and been unable to find any plans. Does anyone have a suggestion how I can hang this sign? It is fairly heavy. I was thinking of some kind of hanger built with pvc pipe but was afraid that would not be heavy enough or would have to be staked down. Thanks for the help.

I use a small 4' plant hanger and hang our sign on it with a small bungee cord. The hanger is easy to plant in the ground with my foot wherever we go.

I put small hooks in the sign, bought some small chain. I have seen people stick a 4' sheppard hook plant hanger in the ground and hang the sign from that.

we use one of the yard flag poles and some small eye bolts in the sign and some chain to hang it from the pole.

Something like this

what is a pin box? If you are referring to a 5th wheel, I have a Class A.

we are planning to make a pvc pip pole light and then hang ours from there. When we aren't setting up for a long period we will hang it from the power jack on the hitch.

No specific suggestion just "Walk around and look at what others do"

One idea I have is this.. Get a plant stake, Actually get two of them.

You will need to make a bracket, To do this get two "L" shaped corner braces, teh flat kind.

cut the 2nd plant stake to a length of 1.5 times the WIDTH of the sign,

Now the L-brackets,, using screws (at least two per bracket) attach them to the short stake so they stick out in such a way that the other "Side" of the L is centered 1/2 the width of the post out from the end.. (I can draw it but not upload)

Then position so the "Top" of the L's are even with the top of the longer stake and use ONE SCREW on each side (top hole)

Hang the sign from the short stake, near the end

When you get ready to leave.. Un-hang sign, Flip short end up and over the top of the long one and it gets way easier to store.
