Most VHS units had RCA jacks for input, two for audio and one for video. IF the 625 has RCA jacks for output, connect the two together using RCA. Play what you want on the 625 and record on the VHS. No way to record any faster. You have to record as it plays.

You may have problems, as there may be some decoding involved, but I don't know that for sure, but thought I had heard someone mention it.

Do as mentioned by Gary, and see what happens.....

it's one of the draw backs of the DVR....if it crashes, you lose what you recorded, and that's it!! I really would rather have the DVD or VHS recorders, but it's a new world now....especially, if you are recording something personal on TV, like if your kid is on the news......at the least, I'd set up a cam-corder, and video tape the TV set, and hope for the best, if you can't use the RCA cables.

Good Luck

As I recall the 625 supported that kind of thing. Even described in the owner's manual how to do it. I do agree, the 3 RCA cables are the way to connect.

Now days in the motor home I use stand alone DVR's and can copy those to computer with a simple mouse click, Then to DVD with a few more.
