Where the ramp latches in the up position, the latching bars rub aggressively on the ramp frame. The TH is only a 2011, but new to me and has been used very little prior to me. The ramp frame is being gouged by the latch assembly and it seems that it could use a thin Teflon type sheet on the frame. I am sure this is a common problem, how have others solved it or where could I get a suitable anti-chafing material.

Might I suggest that a picture of the area you're describing may help showing your troubles and fetch more help.

Sorry if this post seems long, I lacked the time to make it shorter.

I thought about that but saw the photo posting instructions. I don't have photoshop or such and frankly this forum's photo adding method is archaic and dumb.

The area is along the side of the ramp/door and the aluminum frame. The latches, one on each side, is a hinged bar which pivots and presses on the ramp frame holding the ramp closed an up. Probably not the best explanation. Latching bar makes contact in 2 places on the ramp frame to provide secure tight closed seal.

Mine has the long bars that clamps the door. The top seems to be tighter than the bottom of it.Never worried about it in 5 years. There is some minor scratching at the contact point.

Our Voltage came with a strip of rubber attached to the verticle bar on each of the latching bars. You might check into adding that to yours and see if that solves the rubbing problem.

FYI you don't need Photoshop, just upload the the photo to your chosen host, then link to it here. When posting here add in 640 to the width setting so it doesn't post HUGE and you're good to go. Photos hosted here would use bandwidth and as a free forum, well you can do the math.

Thanks I'll look into that and I'll try a rubber strip, maybe a piece of inner-tube.
