Depends where you are at and what you have in it. If you are in Duluth Minnesota, I doubt you will want to leave canned items in your camper if it is winterized and not plugged in as they would be unusable and could rupture, leaving a stinky mess.

We lived in the dallas area for 20 years.I think what you keep in your trailer depends upon how many times you use it durring the year.We kept ours stocked with the basics for food,fully stocked with linens,towels,clothes etc.We used ours a couple weekends a mounth,year round.

Hi, I wouldn't leave food. We leave towels and pots, etc. but I think the food is just an attraction for something waiting to happen.

Going home after putting the trailer in storage involves a couple a flights
& what goes home being required to fit in 1 bag so unloading the pantry is not an option. The DW is pretty good at meal planning so that not much is left in the fridge the day before departure.
Like you dry goods in cans are fine. Everything else that has a long shelf life goes in critter proof containers. This system seems to work for us too even after a 6 month storage period.
