Due to the change to digital will the batwing work if I get new TV's? I was given 2 flat screens. So I would like to know if I have to get anything else to make them work with the batwing.
Thanks

As long as the TV's have digital tuners (most new do), they will work with the batwing. If they don't have digital tuners, you will need to get digital converters for both of them.

We installed one, with no mods to the connections. It works great! However, our batwing was an older model,(2005) and did not receive well, either digital or analog. When camping with others, they would have several channels available, and we would have none, or very few, weakly. I installed a new Winegard Sensar IV with the built=in director, and what a difference!! I now am the one with all the channels. So, if you batwing is old or weak, consider a new one for the best results.

The TV's should work fine. You can also add a wingman to the batwing to improve digital reception and/or channels received, at least according to those who have added it.

Don't let anyone talk you into a "digital TV antenna". When TV went digital, the broadcast frequency band didn't really change. Any TV antenna will work equally well receiving digital or analog signals. Some, better than others.

x2 on the wingman. Even with digital-ready TV's, we can get more channels using the digital converter boxes. JT.

We get 6-36 digital channels in full screen, full high def TV mode digital mode just about everywhere we camp including back in the woods using our 22-inch VIZIO Flatscreen HDTV and the BATWING OTA Antenna... You will of course have to point the OTA BATWING antenna to a city that is transmitting digital TV signals and select ANTENNA from the VIZIO setup screen and then scan for digital channels. We have to do this at every camp site we go to. These are the NATL TV BROADCAST channels available to the public for free (NBC-ABC-CBS-FOX-PBS). The neat thing with the new digital stations are they usually include a 24/7 weather radar which is neat to have from the local area you are staying in.
When we had DirecTV before this was a real good setup to have as the local station option we had with our DirecTV would not pick up our local stations when we moved away from our local ZIP CODE. We would setup the DirecTV at the camp site and then also setup the local stations using the BATWING OTA antenna and this gave us both DirecTV and LOCAL TV reception by just pushing the remote buttons. Since we only got full screen full high def TV signals from the OTA BATWING antenna we finally got rid of the DirecTV account. Any special show we wanted to see that was on DirecTV we could usually find using the computer.
There will be no change using the new flatscreen HDTV at cable sites. Just select CABLE from the HDTV setup and scan for ANALOG and DIGITAL stations. The camp site cable system converts their digital signals to analog so you will not receive the digital signals in full screen digital HDTV mode.
Kinda neat watching NCIS way back in the woods....

x3 on the Wingman. When I converted to digital all I did was install the DTS convert. My batwing worked good but I went ahead and purchased a Wingman. It enabled me to pull in a couple more channels. I have noticed that since adding the Wingman I don't have to point the antenna in a particular direction unless the signal of the channel is extremely low. 99% of the time I just raise and lower the antenna.

Plug them in and you are good to go!
Hit scan channels every time you set up in a CG and if you turn the antenna for better signal I always hit the scan channel again.
The only difference I have found is before digital you could just flip the antenna in a direction and receive the broad signal for the channels. With digital slow tweaking turns of the antenna is best.
I get so many channels with the digital TV I have no desire to buy a satellite dish for the MH now.
BTW: I ran out and bought the wingman and personally it doesn't increase the number of channels if anything it limits its because now you have an even narrow point of reception.
