We retired at the end of 2009 and spent most of 2010 & 141 traveling around the country just to finish filling in our "map". Though we bought the MH in 2006 we were lucky to be able to travel quite a bit.

With fuel getting higher along with everything else except our social security check, we've decided to travel less but workkamp more. This way we get our sites for free and get paid for whatever job we get. So far Amazon has been great, the sugar beet harvest so-so. This summer we'll spend on the east coast working in a campground and next summer Yellowstone. And all the activity gives us the bonus of exercise.

Ronnie, I think your thoughts have passed through the minds of more than one rv'er here. You have to do what suits you and your pocketbook because no one else is going to pay your bills right! I don't think it is necessarily a bad thought, it may be you need something different now.

mpfireman what on earth size of home do you have, $4800 x2 = $9600 for property taxes a year? I thought it was expensive in Southern California!
