Fairly new to RVing and was wondering if there is a consensus on which fuel stops are easier to get in and out of for motorhomes towing a dinghy

Welcome to the forum. Some use The Next Exit.
I just stop and check if it's an unfamiliar area and look for a way out before I go in.
I'll also use Google Maps and check the fuel stops ahead of time.

I generally use Flying J RV lanes. Since I have a diesel I will occassionally use the truck lanes but that's more of a hassle than it's worth here in Indiana because they don't tax the truck pumps. I have to go inside, wait in line, where I'll inevitably get a new hire who has to ask how to set the pumps up for tax. Go back out and dispense the fuel. Go back in and wait in line again to finalize sale.

we use the flying j truck stops, fueling with the trucks or using the rv fueling lanes.
some walmarts have gas stations, but some are not real easy for MHs to get in and out of. same with Sam's clubs. just look them over before you pull in.

When on the road we usually use Flying J RV lanes,Love's, TA and a lot of Walmart and Kroger's service station are large enough to handle RVs.

You might want to order a copy of RV Friend, we find they are nice to have and also the next exit! Stations are marked RV friendly. I have had troubles at Flying j's and Loves before! It all depends on the layout, whether you are diesel/gas, and the amount of car traffic. You want to look for pumps that are a parralel (sp?) pull in as opposed to pulling in straight looking at the station. Also watch your fuel gauge and pull off more often. it is less stressful than having to have fuel right away than it is to be able to pick and choose! Enjoy your travels and be safe!

After owning and MH and pulling a large boat, and after that a 5Ver, now a small TT I never look at the brand as much as I look at overhead clearances where the wife doesn't have to get out and look because it usually isn't posted, and once I'm in can I get back out easily. I agree with the previous post. I do not want to pull in facing the station where I have to make a 90 degree turn to get out.

Wherever you stop the trick is not getting in to get fuel - the real trick is determining if you can get out before you even pull in - if you can't then move on down the road
