I have purchased a 2005 Dutchstar and want to remove the overhead tv.
There are two screws on the sides near the bottom, but still having difficulty in removing the whole unit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Judge

There are two more screws holding to TV Trim in place. Open the cabinets on either side of the TV and look for the screws somewhere above the lower screws.

We removed ours the easy way.. The roads in this country are getting so bad ours just fell out and replaced it with a flat screen. Works most of the time...LOL

Apparently Donandmax don't have a Newmar. We haven't had anything fall off on ours and we have been on several bad roads.

Thanks Danny that was a great help. There were three more screws on a bracket after removing the trim. I just purchased my
Dutchstar in the fall and waiting till weather breaks and kids out of school to make a long trip out west. Other than upgrading, my Dutchstar is great.

Be careful that thing if it is a 27inch can weigh over 80 lbs. Have a plan, it will have a cable or two screwed to the back plus the ac plug.

Happy trails

The Trim is held in place by long screws through the Side Cabinets. The TV will also have a metal sheet attached which is also screwed to the Plywood BoxThe TV is not all that heavy although I'm sure that some folks think it weighs a Ton! It is a CRT design which is Front Heavy though so be careful not to drop it. I estimate the weight at 30 Pounds or less on the one in Our Coach!
