I have to replace my outdoor shower(cause they don`t make parts for it) does anybody know what or how to remove the old sealant around the outdoor shower without making a mess or ruining the siding? I`m thinking a sharp razor knife. any ideas? thanks

We had to replace ours a couple years ago... we didn't do a good job winterizing.

I removed the screws around the frame then carefully cut the sealant. Once pulled out, I disconnected the supply lines and viola!

Clean the camper surface, apply your sealant of choice (I used plain old bathroom caulk though some prefer other sealants), install the new unit with the old screws then apply more sealant around the outside of the frame. Presto-Chango... back in business!

While camping last fall the outside shower's hose connector broke at the top of the "faucet". I had to think about that one for a while... then grabbed the old hose from the inside shower which was replaced when we installed the Oxygenics shower head... carefully disconnected the outside shower hose, tied a string to it, pulled it out and the string in... I then tied the replacement hose to the string, fished it into place, and connected everything. Good as new and ready for the 2012 season!

Happy Camping!
John.

Our current rig does not have one, our last one did and we miss having it. Great for washing hair or filling a pot that doesn't fit in the sink.

One nice location and application for outdoor shower is above the black dump line. Makes a great solution for rinsing off the sewer hose and its accessories when at a dump station without water (common here in the west, perhaps elsewhere too). It's also nice to use it to wash your hands after that chore is done w/o having to go back in the RV/trailer.
