I am looking at a high country TT and since it doesn't have a rear bumper, where do you all store your sewer hoses?

At the risk of being called callous, etc. do a search using "sewer hose storage" and you should get tons of ideas. Most involve mounting a 4 or 5 inch fence post cover under the trailer attached to the frame rails.

Hey old guy, I have a 2012 321RES Cougar High Country and I keep my sewer hose in the "back bumper". Which model are you looking at?

Jimmie2, I have sent you two emails, I was asking you a lot of questions about you 321 RES. One of the questions was where to store the hose. You will typing for a long time answering all the questions. I have one about the television. I didn't see an antenna when we were looking, and what kind of fan in the bath room.

My fiver came with one of the regular sewer hose carriers. I added a second one next to it. Bith are bolted to the frame near the dump valves. I think it is sort of silly trying so hard to reengineer something that already exists and works.

I have the bumper storage, stopped using it! I flush the hose well after use. Spray bleach on it, in it! I then bunch it ( coil it) up as tight as it will go and place in large thick garbage bag and tie the opening. It goes in with Electric Cord and other items in side storage. For me it's easier to put away and deploy. I leave all fittings on the hose. To put in bumper I have to break the thing down and remove all fittings. (a pain in the rear)! I end up with those fittings in a bag placed in storage. I figure why not put the whole thing in the bag! Ones a month I take it out and clean it up even more and dip it in more bleach and water in a bucket at home at home. It coils up so well, I leave the five foot extension on the main hose all the time! Note: I keep a spray bottle close by with Bleach and water. I spray everything including water fittings before and after hook up. Kinda of a germ weirdo!

I use the 5" vinyl fence post to store a number of items in the MH bay. There are several posts with pictures with the fence post mounted under the rig. Available at Lowes and HD.

Found the link.

I installed one so that I'd have that extra hose when needed and it has been needed.

The following link shows pictures of my usage of the 5" fence post for storage and sewer hose. It should be obvious that angled fittings will not fit except for the type that come apart. Fence post usage. See my earlier post in the same thread for purchase information.

All this was found at Lowes. Very simple.

My wife used to give me $1.00 each workday for lunch. After a long argument, I won. Now she gives me $5.00 every Monday.

Old guy - here is a link to a photo if the rear of my RV. It shows my sewer house storage made by Valterra and you can get it at Camping World. Ready to be screwed on to the RV. No messing around with fence posts. It holds two 15 foot (collapsed) lengths of sewer hose. Just use rinse and store. Done.
