I'm tired of waging around the old Brake Buddy. Have a 2011 Wrangler. Would like to upgrade it to an aux system that taps into the bus air brakes.

What brands you do reccommend. Cost of instalation. Dealers in central or southern Colorado. Is this something that any good mechanic can do that is familar with air brakes?

Hi,

I don't know about air brakes, I installed my braking system using $35 in parts from a junkyard, a old CC motor out of a Nissan and using the cable to pull the brake pedal to the floor.

Good luck on your search!

Fred.

If you go with USGear unified you don't have to tap into the air system. Google usgear for more info

I've got about 60,000 miles on Road Master's/Brake Master 9000 Proportional system. Originally had it on a 90 - 32' Winnebago Chieftain gasser pulling two different Jeep Cherokee's for about six years.

Here's a link www.roadmasterinc.com

I kept the setup when I sold the Winnie and the last Jeep in 2006 and went to a 5th wheel. Came back to a Class A about two years ago and installed the set up on the current 91 American Eagle DP w/air brakes and tow a 99 Dodge Durango 4x4 and it still works just fine. It's easy to hook up and take down and has been flawless the entire time. So I guess I'll step right up and say it's a good one.

I am running the U.S. Gear's Unified Tow Brake on our 2011 but it does not tie into the air brakes. I beleive the only two that I know of that tie into the coach air brakes are the M&G and the SMI systems.
