Last month just before the big blow here in the Los Angeles basin I had been working on my rig and due to our fantastic (pun intended) weather I had the vents open as I worked. Well time got away from me and I noticed the sun was down and I was late for dinner, I straighten things up and changed clothes and locked up and headed to the DDs home to pick up the DD and of course I forgot to close the vents. Next time there I found the 22 YO Fantastic vent cover shattered. Went to Simi Valley RV to order a new one and was told to call Fantastic Vent and order directly from them. I did and all I had to pay for a new cover was $13.40, the cost of shipping. The parts guy said he would throw in a crank mechanism too. I installed them yesterday, what a pleasant surprise, everything fit well and everything was easy to access, the fan was designed for a life time of use and on those rare occasions when parts need replacement, the vent is designed to be repaired. It took more time to replace the crank mechanism on my cheapy bathroom vent from inside the rig than to replace the vent cover and crank mechanism with having to climb up on the roof twice and remove six or eight more screws on the Fantastic Vent.

Kudos to Fantastic Vent for service and engineering and to Simi Valley RV for steering me to FV instead of selling me the cover for $34.00.

Fantastic Fan is very well known for their supurb customer service. Like replacing a fan motor nearly 5 years out of warranty for free. Good company!

Do a search on "fantastic fan" and I think you'll be amazed at how often their customer service is praised. This is one company who really has its act together.

I'd like to add that "RVCAMS.COM" is another company with great customer service.

Replacing a bad motor out of warranty is an exceptional act of customer service...

Replacing a cover that was damaged due to customer negligence falls under "insurance".

Personally, I want good customer service, but don't want to share insurance payments for other people's negligence.

Fantastic fan is well known for their fantastic CS…

Its good to hear it is continuing even after the company was sold to Atwood in Dec of 2010...

There is a good chance you wouldn’t have even paid shipping if the family still owned it…

One time I was at the Fort Myers RV show and mentioned having a problem, and the FF guy just handed me the parts I needed no questions asked… he had just about every part for every model at the show with him, even though that is not the reason they do the shows…

Why does there always have to be one of these types of responses. This is about great customer service by Fantastic fan company not about your worry of insurance good god.

I have also had great service from them for replacement of an old vent cover I could not get from a rv parts dealer called them up and they sent me a new one no cost hope that don't disturb you to bad.

I wanted to replace the vent cover on the rear of my trailer with a power one one guess which companies product I installed.

Another happy customer here. The tech took the time to answer my questions thoroughly, and even sent an email later asking how the project went.

If pasusan would read my OP I went to Simi Valley RV and tried to order a cover because it was MY fault. I tried to order the cover from Fantastic VENT after explaining how the damage occured. Neather would take my money. The new crank mechanism that was included was really nice because the old one was worn out and after 22 years of use I would have paid for that too, but no deal at Fantastic VENT.

Fantastic Fan is now Fantastic Vent, I would bet that the previous owners required a name change in case Attwood didn't carry on the Customer Care they established.

Goodnes but we got our moneys worth out of that accessory.
