Hi

We are in the big Q now and will head to Bakersfield soon we are considering traveling from Quartziste to Parker on 95 then west on 62 to Yucca Valley then North on 247 to Barstow then on 58 west to Bakersfield. We will stay over 1 night somewhere in the Barstow area, maybe.

My question is how is 62 W to Yucca Valley and how is 247 N to Barstow? We have a 40 foot MH pullin a toad. We want to just go another way other than I-40 or I-10 as we have already seen Needles and Palm Springs.

Thanks JimR

It's no problem all the way through. We have made the run several times between Q and Santa Clarita and would probably do it this year, but will be detouring to Palm Springa area.

The only problems you might encounter with traffic is the folks in and out of Big Bear along the back route, but ain't got no snow, so......

Another way is west to Yucca Valley, north to Victorville, through Victorville to Adelanto and then north on 395 to 58. Stay in the Victorville, Adelanto area for an over night camp if necessary. Kramer Junction at 395 and 58 has places to overnight at the Pilot Station.

Probably less hectic this way. A lot of traffic in the Victorville area.

The last time we overnited at Kramer junction the parking lot was full so we parked on the north side of the 58, that was a big mistake trains run through there about 1 an hour and the 395 58 crossing is close by so we heard train horns all night long
