Looking for a nice campground on the island. We have a 24ft TT, would like at least water, elect and a dump station. Also need a campground on Cape Breton.

Lane's cottages in Montague.

Both myself and someone from Texas have left glowing reviews of this place on rvparkreviews.com. You'll have difficulty finding someplace with a comparable price that includes cable and wifi.

PEI is a big island, where specifically to you want to go on the island? If it is near 'Green Gables" I would recommend New Glasgow Highlands. We stayed there two nights and very well pleased. Quiet, out in the country, and lots of trees for privacy. Very clean and great host. They also made available FREE passes to Green Gables to use.

You pay a toll to get off the island, none to get on. Since ferry charges by the foot, and the bridge is a flat rate, we chose to use that route. I think that there was a difference of about $25 to $30.

Super friendly on PEI.
Super busy at weekends from Easter until 'Schools Out'.
Super busy every day in July and August, you will need reservations.

As you get onto the island off the bridge you will see a Welcome Centre plus Plaza style lot, many eateries etc.

Toll...........one only pays ONCE, that is when EXITING the island using the bridge.

Not very big compared to Newfoundland!!

Once you get on route to at either northern cape, it's two hours at highway speeds (90 km) to the centre of the island.

Still consider how much gas you use up.

Tell us what you want to see and we, who are somewhat familiar with PEI, can help more.

& I, I took the road less travelled by.

Marco Polo Land. Haven't tried any others, but this place was great. Large lots that are all grass/lawn. The island isn't so big that you can't reach any of it in a day trip. Marco Polo had things for the kids to do, but was quiet enough for those without kids.

Getting there, however, is another story. St John was horrible, but Frederickton was great.
