So, we are taking the hauler out for its first time this wknd(WW FSW2800). I got the Winegard portable satelite and was wondering if I can just plug it in to that coax cable plug on the side of the hauler on the outside and it will send a signal to the 2 tv's inside? The coax outlets by the tv's say satelite ready so Im guessing this will work.
ANY INPUT???

Don't beleive you can split the coax between the dish and receiver. Only after the receiver.

Do you have a Satellite In connection on the outside of the TH?

That makes sense...So hook up the dish and the receiver outside...Plug dish into receiver and then receiver into coax that is outside and I should be good?

Would def have to figure a way to keep the receiver free of any debris while outside

You need to bypass the signal booster inside the trailer. That's the only way to get a.straight through connection to the dish. The dish gets power from the receiver and that power can't be interrupted by a splitter or that signal booster.

It's an easy fix though. Here are the instructions.

Thats pretty sweet! and easy! I wont have time before the trip to get this done so what happens if I run the satelite and the receiver outside and just plug it into the coax jack outside? will it not work at all?

Also, why does it say satelite ready but the plugs behind the TV? how does that actually work?

You mean leave the box outside? I guess that would work, but you'd have to go outside to change the channel. You're better off just snaking the cable through the window and skipping that jack altogether.

That's always been my beef too. It says that because the cable inside is sufficient gauge to work with a dish. Big deal!!

You can pick up the coax going into booster and go to reciever for the living room. For the bedroom just take cable loose from atenna and patch it together behind booster to the cable for bedroom. Use two lines off satellite one for bedroom and one for living room you need two recievers.
