DirectTV added Fox when we needed it while I was on the telephone with them.

Directv will not sell you NBC, even temporarily. It's evidently against some law. I've already tried to get them to temporarily sell me the NBC feed with no luck. Sorry. Your best bet is to try and get the local on your batwing.

Did you already have other Distant Network Service set-up for ABC, CBS, and NBC?

Find a sports bar or a restaurant for a few hours ... better than all that hassle, and a 'maybe' ...

Will DirecTV work "Anywhere" well.. Yes and no.. You need a clear view of the southern sky, in fact one (or 3) specific points in the southern sky.

There are places where getting such a view can be problematic.. My daughter's house for example. can not site a satellite.

Over the AIR tv.. I have one place I park where it sucks, I tend to stay there just one or two nights. Where I'm at now I have more TV than I can watch, all for free, No monthly fee at all. My twin DVR's record and play back on demand, (they also chat with each other so if I record on one I can watch on either) And NO MONTHLY BILL

That said.. When my budget turns around in a couple of years I may re-up with either Dish or Direc.. I like Dish hardware better but there are advantages to Direc.

Call the campground office and see if they get NBC over the air signal in the park. If so, crank up the batwing...end of problem.
