This is the regular kind with the bars under the mattres. There actually flat or squished instead of round bars if that makes any sense. I had to cut them shorter to fit the width of the bunk.
I had planned on laying some 3/4" plywood cut around the bars to level it out but my little guy never complained about it so I didn't bother.
Defenately a must have since there is so much height there and so many things to hit on the way down if somebody falls.

Here are a few shots of my Bullet Premier 28RLPR. The fabric is a little "loud" for my taste but I really like everything else about it like the weight, space, and layout. I just got the trailer last summer so looking forward to making it more of my own.

Hitch Pin..nice interior you got there! Reminds me of our previous camper, the Jayco Jay Feather 197. We LOVED it!
