Most folks that winter in SC. Do it at Myrtle Beach. There are several nice RV Resorts in the area. Best ones are on the Ocean. Which IMOP is the ONLY reason to be at Myrtle Beach. However there are some a bit inland as well.

Also. some winter in SouthPort NC. There are some CGs around but few. Shalotte KOA is one.

As for temps. The coast is way warmer than inland. Because of the Gulf Stream. It rarely gets super cold there. And MB is not all that far from Florence

A area that runs from 400 to 600 degree days of heating per month is not going to be warm. WPB averages 50-60 and Tampa runs around 70-80 per month. Even Jacksonville which is too cold for most only runs 150-250.

This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

I live an hour from SC in Georgia, some mornings can be in the 20-30's
If you want no freezing nights, you need to be in south Georgia North Florida..
Good luck

I spend a lot of time in NC/SC during the winter. The regional office I work out of is in Charlotte. While the coastal areas particularly in SC are more ideal for full timing, I've camped in C.O.E. and State parks in Western SC along Lake Hartwell bordering GA. I stay out of the mountainous areas of NC during the winter. It's do-able with a 4 season camper, but you'll be happier along the coast. Simply because the coastal areas of SC are more subtropical than the Piedmont and western SC.

I'm spending about two weeks max in one spot. So, I use government campgrounds to defray expenses. I don't have much experience with private campgrounds in the area outside of Passport America.

I spent several winters working my way from Murrels Inlet (just south of Myrtle Beach) to Brunswick, GA. Lots of nice state and county parks along the way. I'm from PA too. By my standards its warm enough but not South Florida warm.

We have never "wintered", but we have gone to SC many times during January, Feb and March. We go to Hunting Island, which is about 30 miles north of the GA border, but on the ocean.

It can get chilly, sometimes downright cold, but the coastal areas do stay warmer than the inland areas.

We have never been there that it has stayed below freezing more than overnight.

The 2 main cg's in Florence are the Swamp Fox, very close to Hwy 95, you will get a fair amount of traffic noise. The other is the Florence RV park (formerly Florence KOA), also close the Hwy 95, but more trees, so you don't get quite as much noise. Both very easy on and off Hwy 95. Neither one is a RV resort.

We have been in the area since 2009 and have had some pretty cold weather at night. Last winter was an unusually cold winter, got 2 snowfalls, one of 5 inches and the other was only a couple of inches and about 3 weeks of freezing temps at night. I wore a winter coat at night from Christmas to mid Feb.

This year, I've worn my winter coat twice at night, most of the time I am fine with just a sweat shirt, about a week of night time freezing temps. Most daytime temps this year have been in the 50's and 60's. So far, no snow, but a lot of rain.

Florence is not really a tourist town, there is one museum about the Civil War and Darlington has a NASCAR museum, so if you are looking for touristy type things to do, you would have to drive about 65 miles east to Myrtle Beach or about 2 hours south to Charleston.

If I had the option, I would probably stay closer to coast, mainly because there are more options for fun things to do.

Good luck in your decision.
