We also have one and it works amazingly well. It does not have a 'park' position you just leave it where it is last pointed. It does not fold down at all and is not higher than the air conditioning unit on the roof. Just totally forget that it is there.

Yea but the ac is rounded and branches go 'over' it. I think that antenna sticking straight up on a stem......would get ripped out the first time you go under a tree branch. Just saying.

I had an installer compare jack antenna to sensar 4 with add on. From same location the sensar picked up quite a few more channels.Went with sensar.

I wonder if I can swap the Antenna Tek head and replace it with a Wingard sensar without having to replace the crank and boom assembly, and replace the amplifer with the sensar one? I just can't see tearing into the roof to replace every thing....

Great job and thanks for the info. You answered a lot of questions for me as I have the same problem. The Wingman will not work for me as when I crank my batwing down it would hit the a/c. I have been looking at the Jack for a while but now I am going out next week and get mine. Thanks for great info and maybe see you down the road. Happy travels.

I would never pull into a spot with branches that close to the roof. The antenna would be the least of my worries, tearing the rubber roof would be concern #1.

I went to camping world yesterday to look at the Jack and find out how much they would charge to install it.....the service advisor was quick to tell me that I did not want that because it limits my view of the available tv signals. The only thing I could think of was that because it was shorter than the A/C the A/C would shield the antenna. I do not know if that is true but it seemed to make some sense beings it would be so close to the A/C unit.

That's what I did and it folds down just like the old batwing. I can't compare with sensar 4 because i had some off brand batwing, and the Jack beats that one.

That Jack unit is $45.40 on Amazon right now with free shipping. The Winegard Sensor upgrade is $29.15 with free shipping. Both good units.

If I change to a Jack Antenna is the Surelock Digital Meter really necessary or can I get by without it?
Thanks, Clint
