I have been looking into HTT for a while. We have found that we like the Jayco for a few reasons. but floor plan we like a lot was the 23j. But we can get a much better deal on the 23b. then I found this Aerolite 232es at a dealer a few hours north of me. I know nothing about this brand. Anyone have any information to help me decide. thanks in advance.

Our first camper was a TrailManor 2619 which tows like a popup but sets up with hard sides.
I personally don't like any trailer with canvas. However, I know they are very popular probably because one can get into the camping lifestyle for just a few thousand $$.
The TM has done away with the canvas BUT is considerably more expensive but, I think, has more value.

Im not worried about the towability at all. Im more looking at craftsmanship of the trailers themselves. I have done alot on research on jayco and Forest river htt like on bunk end construction and materials used. I just cannot find much on the Aerolite shuttle series at all. Just figured maybe here would be a great place with all of the knowledgeable who have "been there done that" if ya will.

The 23j is one of the heaviest hybrids and the 23b has one of the lowest CCC. I honestly don't know why they mass produce the 23b with low carrying capacity and ground clearance concerns.

I can't comment on the Aerolite, but being a Jayco owner.....i can give you two thumbs up on the 23B. It has been around since 2000, and is the most popular floor plan in the Jayco Hybrid lineup. Jayco's Customer Service is 2nd to none also, which is extremely important also. I highly recommend the Jayco

Being an ex-Aerolite owner two things in general I can tell you...and just my opinion...

Aerolite is made by Thor industries, focus on entrance level trailers, above average floor plans, quality below average.

Thanks for everyone's input on this. I have heard that Jayco's service is great, that is surely a plus. I am going to keep looking for somemore details on the construction and warrenties on each.

personally, i think the Jayco is a better made hybrid than the Aerolite.
plus they have great customer service rep, whereas Thor does not.

since you live in Ohio, i'm wondering why you aren't pricing a 23SS from RVW? that's what the 23J was copied from and there are tons of happy 23SS owners, me being one of them.
you live in the best priced RV area in the country.

We have a 23B and love it! As far as construction, things have changed a bit since ours was built in 2007. Best to get in one and stick your head in all the right places and check it out for yourself. We spent time in each trailerand found a different "feel" to every one of them.

I have read tons of good things on here about the roo's, i was kind of pushed away from them early by some people here locally that have had issues. Maybe this is just issues with the dealer not being willing to fix things. SO maybe i have gotten bad info. A local dealer has a 2010 23ss that i can get for around 15000, but i have kind of dismissed it due to things i have heard. Maybe I will go take a look at it. I am not finding anything good about the aerolite anywhere.
