Currently have two Ford, three Chevy and one Nissan and I do have a soft spot in one way or the other for each of the five. Actually in my 45 years of driving I never had a vehicle that I wanted to trade off but again I still have my first wife of 31 years so I guess I am not big on swapping out things after I once get them. That can lead to a parking problem over time.

Great info! I would just ask that you please include what truck you drive; if this thing get any bigger my finger will fall off from clicking everyone's profile!
So far the GM is top choice, but the others are very close.

Yes I would. I am on my 3rd F150, and have had great experience with each one of them. I plan to replace my current one with a new F150 w/ecoboost within next year ot two.

No.
I really have no brand preference over the years, the cheapest deal on what I need at the time ends up in my driveway. However this Chevy has been such a pain in the neck, GM products will likely be overlooked when a replacment is needed.

I love my current truck, it has been pretty good, but I will be switching to dodge or gm next time. this is based on seeing so many 6.4 trucks getting new engines at just over 100K some with less and although covered by warranty I think any diesel should last atleast 300k with proper maintenance and no abuse.I think the trucks will need replacement parts but the engine should not (for what you pay for the diesel option). diesel engines have always been thought of as the heavy duty long lasting alternative to gas and even though they will pull, haul, tow heavy loads well they seem to have many problems and dont seem to last much if any longer than gas engines.sorry so long just pissed at the repairs my truck is haveing next week.JMHO will
